I loved Mary Lou but I must admit that Cindy Lou Manizer is even better suited to my skin tone.
the Balm Cindy Lou Manizer ($24) is a highlighter that comes housed in a cute whimsical packaging featuring Cindy Lou’s “wanted” poster. Inside you’ll find a generously sized mirror and a dark rose gold powder with a frosty finish. I was a little scared of the frost and I had right to be as if Cindy Lou isn’t properly blended well she can cling to my drier areas rather baldy.
Her texture runs powdery to me as swipe by my brush into the powder does kick up a good deal of product. However, she isn’t dry and has a softer, velvety consistency. She’s a frosty little devil as well but she has a lovely high sheen on cheeks and face when blended out well. For this review I used her on my cheeks and my eyes. Her color is more obvious on my lids with a softer rose gold finish. On my cheeks she has a peachy bronze element with a subtle glow that isn’t completely obvious under regular lighting but can easily be seen in sunlight.
The color is very pigmented even though it is a lighter shade so a little goes a very long way. I admit I loved how natural and pretty the color looked on both my lids and cheeks.
Just be careful with this one if you have drier skin as it tends to cling badly to drier areas in my experience so blend, blend, and blend some more for the smoothest finish and of course, prep well!
I loved the shade and enjoyed this one.
