Bobbi Brown Bronze Eye Palette7

The Bobbi Brown Bronze Eye Palette is one of three new eyeshadow palettes released with the Bobbi Brown Nude Glow Spring 2014 Collection and my second favorite palette of 2014 (Tarte Be MATTEnificent Amazonian Colored Clay Matte Eye & Cheek Palette being the first!).

At $50 it is a little pricey but believe me it is a palette you’ll likely reach for daily for essential eyeshadow looks!

Bobbi Brown Bronze Eye Palette8

The Bobbi Brown Bronze Eye Palette comes in a small mirrored compact (yes, it is a magnetic for fingerprints) that contains .21 oz of eyeshadow. Although small the inside of the compact features a generously sized mirror and the wells of each shadow are equally large.

Shades:

  • Gold Sparkle Shadow
  • Amber Shimmer Shadow
  • Toast Eye Shadow
  • Rich Bronze Metallic Shadow

Rich Bronze, Gold, Amber, Toast

This is one of those no brainer quads because all of the shades actually work together. And even though it is only four shades you can create a slew of different looks pairing them up or wearing them all their own. Each shade packs fairly great pigment, even the Sparkle Shadow as typically Bobbi Brown’s Sparkle Eyeshadow is a bit sheerer.

You can a wide range of finishes to play with here and formulas vary from shade to shade. The Gold Sparkle shade has a more chunkier consistency that reminds me of a flakier MAC pigment. Where as Amber Shimmer Shadow has a lovely hint of shimmer but a smoother, softer, almost creamy-like texture. Toast is a satiny easy to blend shadow with an almost semi-matte finish and Rich Bronze has a velvety smooth texture with an easy to blend formula. Needless to say I love all the formulations here and it is an excellent way to be introduced to a variety of Bobbi’s eyeshadows in a single palette that isn’t overwhelming with too many color choices. I can’t even pick a single favorite shade here as I adore them all. Toast reminds me of my all time favorite Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Sand Dune.

I love big massive eyeshadow palettes but they can be overwhelming so I admit I fell in love with this. Four shades, easy eye looks, endless possibilities. Amber and Gold create a beautiful sunset eye, Amber on my eye and a Rich Bronze on my outer lid create (as seen below) create a pretty smoky look, Amber, Gold, and Bronze together create a beautiful Summery eye look, Toast on its own creates a very lovely nude eye look….the colors just work well together! There isn’t any shade that stands out as something that doesn’t go or doesn’t belong! Looking at this color palette and I can actually visualize the colors together in a variety of looks. Too many times I get eyeshadow palettes that have shades that leave me scratching my head. Not the case with the Bobbi Brown Bronze Eye Palette!

Needless to say I love this one and I’m stamping it with a Muse Approval. I know it’s a bit expensive but it is well worth its price tag.

Love this one!

My first makeup purchase of this year was the Sleek Makeup Garden of Eden palette. It’s on its way now, I can’t wait to get it! This palette looks like a lovely combination of wearable colors. I can see why it’s Approved!

oooo haven’t tried garden of eden yet but very much looking forward to!

This quad looks gorgeous but it reminds me so much of Sonia Kashuk’s Bronzed Beauty quad. I adore SKs eyeshadows and it’s 1/3 cost or so. I think I like SKs shades a touch better too. I’ve never tried anything Bobbi Brown tho so one of these times I must venture out. I hear she has a nice stick foundation. Have you ever tried it? Thanks for your review!
