About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I love the looks of the Nude Eye palette and the Brighten Finish powder! So pretty.

  • Deb

Sad to say, but I can’t tell the difference between these and any of the last thousand BB eyeshadow palettes. To me, BB hasn’t had an original idea in years. And I used to love her stuff.

  • Jennifer

Personal opinion, I don’t like Katie’s look. She looks ill to me, not heavenly. The glow and the paleness are not for her. With some strategic highlighting I think she can kick butt. The picture looks like they slapped a coat of copacabana on her, then started highlighting.
    Lovin them eyeshadow shades.

    • AnniLau

I don’t know if she looks ill to me but, as presented, that doesn’t seem like makeup anyone would wear in real life unless they were going to a costume party as Tinkerbell.

  • Robin

They are a pass for me. Two of the eyeshadow palletes resemble Sonia Kashuk’s quads. The last few years, Bobbi Brown has been too sheer for me. I prefer Urban Decay, Too Faced, or even Kashuk to Brown’s shadows.

  • Samantha M

You know, I love Bobbi Brown’s products and formula but these don’t excite me at all 🙁

  • Ashley

The bronzing palette looks promising. Katie looks as radiant as ever! Love her hair up for a change.

  • Emilee

I do love me some Bobbi Brown, but those shadow quads like *awfully* similar to some of the Sonia Kashuk quads I have…

  • Karin Ho

Those brightening products looks like her famous Brick repackaged. The new nudes, crystal, bronze palettes look like remix from her Xmas past. Just new packaging, rather than new products and palettes instead of singles. I love her toner, but since “Living Palette” and the Bridal Palette, I have moved on. More of the same every year, renamed and repacked. Her lipsticks are lovely but get stale fast!

  • Karin Ho

Katie Holmes is completely unrecognisable! Her dropping eyes, her facial features…all photoshopped to look like someone 10 years younger..please, just use any face and photoshop, save advertising fees.

  • Melissa

I like the first toe eyeshadows shown. The second one looks like the colors would be too light. Having a hard time deciding on what one of those to get.

  • Jaclyn

The promo picture of Katie Holmes is just terrible. They took a beautiful woman and made her look like washed out girl, who played with a mother’s makeup. They need to stop or use a light hand when using photoshop. As for the Nude Glow Collection, it looks like many other collections and has nothing special to it. I like Bobbi Brown, but I’m skipping this collection.

  • Veronica

The brightening powder looks very interesting! The brown appears cool-toned, which would make it a very good bronzer on my fair, cool-toned skin. I’ll have to give it a look. 🙂

  • Imi

I have to say i really like everything! The eyeshadows look lovely.
I own a few of the eyeshadow palettes and these look nothing like the ones i already own!
I have to agree i don’t like how Katie looks, she looks very washed out!

  • TwirlyGirly

I agree regarding the photo. I just want to grab a package of blotting paper and go to town with it all over her face. IMO they took the highlighting and “glow” over the top and the end result looks…oily.

  • Cee

Yeah, they’ve overexposed Katie’s photo…a trick used to blur out imperfections with too much light…you get very bright hot spots and no real texture or skin information. Tricks, tricks, tricks. My only gripe with the newer Bobbi Brown is the tremendous glitter in her line…both eye and face products. I would never use them. It’s funny…I’m going through my lippies now, and the ones that have gone bad first are my Bobbi Brown. sigh…

I just went to put Ballet Pink in my cart on Nordstrom.com and then it sold out! Anyone find it online anywhere else?
