Clinique Cheek Pop Blush

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush ($21) is probably one of the most delightful blushes I’ve run across as of late! These cute daisy shaped blushes get a Spring 2014 launch in four different shades.

Not only are they cute but they pack fantastic pigment and a smooth texture that blends and applies like a dream.

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush
come in a clear compact featuring 0.12 oz of blush. At first touch you’ll notice these have a very smooth yet dense consistency. They quite remind me of a patch of ice as they have a very smooth consistency that’s dense to the touch but manages to yield beautiful color. I was worried as dense does mean dry but these actually have a surprising texture which is quite pigmented with a lovely easy to wear formula that applies and blends easily with intense, dramatic color pay off or sheerer, more natural color.

These shades can be used across the board on a wide range of skin tones and types. Color is almost like a cream once applied as it gives a seamless natural finish on skin that never clings to drier areas or accentuates pores. You can layer, build, and play with these as much as you like without every over doing it. The blush applies easily and each shade provides a very natural, healthy glow on cheeks. It truly is a surprise that a blush this dense provides such beautiful color but indeed it does!

On top of the lovely pigment and formula these also wear for a solid twelve hours without a touch up. They do not lose intensity and wear long and hard!

If you love blushes (or even if you don’t) you NEED these!

Loves ’em! Just a warning these are as addicting as Tarte Amazonian Blush so you’re likely going to WANT all the shades! Thank god there are only four right?!

They are available now on Clinique counters or grab them at Nordstrom.com or Sephora.com.

These blushes are so pretty! The texture sounds really amazing too. I need at least 2 lol

I am going to order Peach and Plum ASAP, although I am likely going to get the other 2 eventually (I had them in my card on Sephora, but my decision to get the newly reformulated Meteorites kind of made me cut down several things).

I was going to get a Hourglass one and though they sound amazing I already need another blush like I need a hole in the head, and the Clinique ones sound like they are THE blush to get right now (and don’t seem as sparkly as the Hourglass ones to boot). Hope I made the right decision 😀

    • Isabella Muse

I think you did 🙂 I’m waiting on my hourglass and I’m kinda sorta feeling like I MIGHT be disappointed with them, I hope not of course, but they look a bit too much like products I already own (laura geller blush/milani blush) but keeping fingers crossed I’m wrong! Plus the clinique ones are cuter and cheaper hehe 😀 LOL I understand believe me I do so tired can’t keep my eyes open or my fingers from making mistakes!

These are so pretty, and they sound so wonderful to apply! Even a blush-phobic like me is tempted… (I own what seems like 59,472 lipsticks, but only 2 blushes)

  • Christine

Blushes and chubby lip pencils are my weakness! These blushes and the new Hourglass blushes are on my radar. I’ve seen swatches and reviews of both and surprisingly these Clinique blushes appeal to me more than the Hourglass blushes. I already ordered the Nars Final Cut blush. Thanks for the review and for feeding my addiction.

I thought the formula would be like the dream bounce blushes. These are totally cute and I’ll probably grab one or two, but they’re so cute, how can i actually use them!?

  • lauren

I was picking up the big bottle of that philosophy microdelivery wash and ginger pop magically found its way into my cart 🙂

I want all four! I cannot wait for the MUFE, HOURGLASS, and these blushes to arrive at my Sephora store!!! What lip colors are you wearing with Ginger Pop and Peach Pop??? I like ’em both!

  • Iona

Hi Muse, just wondering if these are a cream to powder formula? Would oily skinned gals be able to use these too? xx

    • Isabella Muse

these are powder iona, oily skin should have any problem with them.

I just had to order all four shades as soon as I saw them on Clinique’s website. New Clinique blush is way overdue. It’s been so long since they’ve come out with new blush. I love these. I’ve only worn Ginger Pop and Plum Pop so far, but they are really pretty shades. I wasn’t sure I was going to like Ginger Pop, but I do. Can’t wait to wear Berry Pop and Peach Pop. Most of the shades in the other Clinique blush are either on the dull side or too shimmery for me. These are perfect. They really do apply nicely, are buildable and look very natural. Good work Clinique. Now we need new lipgloss from Clinique, which one of the girls at a counter told me were coming. Don’t hesitate to buy these.

    • Isabella Muse

Joan, couldn’t agree more! Been a bit disappointed with shimmer/frost in past Clinique blushes but these are divine!

  • Lauren

I picked up Berry Pop yesterday. I really don’t need any more blush but the cute packaging drew me in. Of course, I had to force myself to use the blush this morning because I don’t want to ruin the beautiful daisy. I used my MAC 168 to apply and it really doesn’t take a lot to get beautiful color. I found the blush perplexing in a sense because it looks like a cream blush on, even though it is not a cream product. It leaves skin with a really healthy glow. It reminds me of my Estee Lauder Gelee blush but better.

  • Dee

I must get these! Clinique blushes have lost a lot of appeal for me, but these look amazing.

  • GlamKitty

SO excited to try these… especially Plum Pop, which is in my cart now. 🙂 (Not that I actually NEED another blush–pretty sure the stash in my bathroom has my cheeks covered for the next decade, lol–but I’m a sucker for a beautiful flush of color, and your swatches/try-ons are making these look like potential HG material!)

  • Neesha

I totally caved and got two of these (peach and berry). They haven’t arrived yet, but I hope soon!

  • Ashley

Love all four, just not for me. I’d probably only look good with 2, the peach and the ginger. On second thought with a little practice these four would be great for everyday. These would make a fun gift for someone.

  • Kelli Wasielewski

These look lovely. The new Hourglass blushes are amazing. Highly pigmented and nothing sparkly or glittery about them. I love them.

  • Pelagius

Hey Muse, those look great on you. The ginger pop looks kind of pinky. Thanks for the swatches. I got the Plum Pop and I KNOW I’m going to want at least one more!!

  • Sarah

Is it possible that the Ginger and Peach swatches are mixed up in the description? Maybe it’s the lighting but I own all four and Peach definitely has that touch of pickiness that is showing up in the photo while Ginger is warmer. Love them either way! Thanks for the post.
