Dior Coral Addict Lip Balm spring 2014

The Dior Spring 2014 Makeup Collection is on the loose and with it a new Dior Coral Addict Lip Balm ($32). This is where I twerk around and do my Robin Thicke impression, “You know you want, you know you want it…!”

In 2012, Dior Addict Lip Balm in Crystal Coral launched so if you already have that one I might just commit a crime saying maybe you don’t have to indulge in Coral Addict Lip Balm but…I’m not taking into consideration your addictive nature and the fact you might feel like you NEED every single shade they release. In that case, buy it!

Dior Coral Addict Lip Balm is a lighter more transulcent shade of orange-y coral! I’m absolutely addicted to these balms and have every single shade they launched.

It’s basically a highly MLBB (my lips but better) experience with these balms. Each balm shade creates a perfect unique shade of color on the user’s lips. They also contain SPF 10 and a hydrating blend of mango butter to keep lips soft and smooth through the where.

Coral actually reflects back pinkish on me (as seen below in my photo) when I tried it with my look below but when I use it with a more peachy blush it looks more orange. Go figure.

The real appeal of Dior Addict Lip Balm is the simplicity of the product as it adds just a splash of color with a lightweight texture that isn’t uncomfortable to wear. I happen to be lazy about touching up my gloss and lipstick when it wears away so products like this are fabulous so I’m not going around completely bared lipped all day and I don’t even need a mirror to apply it! Swipe it on and go, looks perfect every time! Dare I say I like the formula more than Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment? It’s true! The high sheen and touch of color is perfect for no nonsense looks.

If you’re looking for a hint of coral, a touch of shine, a bit of moisture, Dior Coral Addict Lip Balm is the perfect natural makeup-less look for your lips!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. THEYRE BACK?!? YESSSSS! I bought 3 the last time they were released, underestimated how much I loved them, I finished the last tube months and months ago. I cried. Do you know if these have like an expiration date or anything? Cause I’m like seriously ready to order like 20 of em. Also it’s weird that they show up more pinky on you, it shows up totally peach on me

    • Isabella Muse

YES! 😀 I KNEW you’d comment 😀 peach on me too if I wear peachy blush but shows very pink when I wear pinkish shades…WEIRD I know 😀 haha…oh I’d say two years before expiring…!

  • Nadia

This looks lovely! For some reason, I haven’t been into bold lips lately so this looks perfect!
On another note, i would like to wish you a belated happy new year Muse! Hope you have an awesome 2014 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

and to you Nadia 🙂 happiest and healthiest! 🙂 Me too, I really like no nonsense lately!

I’ve tired these on at Sephora and I wasn’t that impressed with them, they seem really sheer and pointless. I’ll have to try them out again because they look really pretty. I’ve read nothing but good things about them.

  • Sylirael

I really want to try one of these! They look so pretty and effortless!! 😀

Does this have that same vanilla smell like the pink one does? And is it also one of those that creates its own color on everyone? I wanted to love the pink one but when I wear it it turns like HOT pink on me and it wasn’t very flattering but I loved the smell and the way it felt, so I am hoping to fall in love with this one if it not one of those color changing ones!

    • Isabella Muse

I didn’t get the taste on it danielle and yes, it’s a self adjusting formula. Hope this helps!

I’m also terribly addicted to these, but I’ve only had the chance to get the clear one in Canada. What other shades r there? 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

there’s pink, crystal coral (le), mmm another pink that was released as an LE shade..currently the only ones available are coral and the regular pink though! almost every spring they release an LE shade!

I think I will answer your twerk and grab one of these up! I wasn’t a big fan of the Fresh lip balms – it doesn’t quite give me the moisture I want and I’m not really fond of the texture it gives me either.

I’m a big fan of Dior lipsticks so I’m a little excited about this. To the mall!

    • Isabella Muse

LOL ;-D I think you’ll like this, much lighter, nice shine, not as balmy as fresh 😀

  • MizzJ

Ooo it looks so pretty on you and I like how it gives off some decent shine. Sometimes I find balms are way too waxy and not enough glossy.

    • Isabella Muse

AGREED! what is with waxy balms?! yak! thanks MizzJ 😀 it really is a lovely color!

  • Nicole

That color is gorgeous on you and in the tube! Must have for spring for me! 🙂

  • fancie

This is one of my favorite balms! I have two half empty tubes of the pink one lying around somewhere but I still want this one lol. I love coral!
