Etude House Cherry Lip Gel Patch Review
Chapped lips, dry lips, sore lips apparently Etude House Cherry Lip Gel Patch is the cure all for that! We use facial sheet masks so why not a mask for our lips?
The Etude House Cherry Lip Gel Patch is a lip mask that can be applied on lips for 10-15 minutes to soften, hydrate, and sooth lips so they appeal softer, smoother, and more supple.
Take a look!
Etude House Cherry Lip Gel Patch is made from a gelatine-like transparent material and is shaped like a set of lips. Cute right? I was tempted to goof around and post a photo of myself wearing this thing but I felt like Joan Rivers after botox! It’s actually kinda nifty because it’s big enough to cover your entire mouth and part of your upper lip area and below it. I get a bit of redness and dryness around my upper lip area especially when my lips are chapped so this is the idea size to cover that area up.
Apparently this is formulated with cherry extract and tastes and smells subtly like cherry. Technically it contains water, gylcerine, parabens unfortunately, fruit extract, hydrolyzed collagen, and a buncha of other ingredients that aren’t going to really heal or cure chapped lips!
The patch is moist but not too moist and adheres to lips nicely. It kinda seals off your mouth so you’ll be breathing through your nose. I felt like I was in a horror movie with my mouth sealed closed. It was kinda weird at first. There are a variety of clear masks like this available for your face such as BSC 5 in 1 Whitening and Moisturizing Facial Mask made from the same type of material as this patch however, this fits quite securely where as in the past masks used on my face like this tend to slip off during the wear which makes them irritating to use.
After wearing the mask for 15 minutes I have to admit I liked how smooth my lips were which is one reason I continued using them after all this time. I did notice if I use them on chapped lips they don’t really do much aside from soothing the area if it burns a bit. On flakier lips it doesn’t cure the area but does give them a nice bit of moisture.
I think they work best when my lips aren’t chapped or overly dry. After using it my lips look and feel smoother and more supple. The benefits aren’t terribly incredible though! This is just a fun way to get a smoother finish on your lips and nice to use before a night out or a date night so your lips are nice and smooth!
I got a buncha of these from Korea for a few dollars but online I see them ranging from $1.99-$2.99 each at a variety of E-bay stores and online shops.
Anyone try these?
