Garnier Purifying Foam Cleanser Review

Garnier Purifying Foam Cleanser

Garnier Clean Purifying Foam Cleanser is one of several new Garnier Skincare products that will be permanently available starting Spring 2014 at drugstores.

The Garnier Purifying Foam Cleanser is a foaming cleanser for combination skin scented like grapefruit and pomegranates. My skin is drier so I’m loving the new Garnier Cleansing Oil however, come Summer I tend to have drier areas on my cheeks with oily areas on my forehead so this little foaming cleanser seems like a good pick up to shelve for the warmer weather.

Take a look!

Although dry at the moment I gave Garnier Purifying Foam Cleanser a try out towards the end of December and into January. This is formula for deep cleaning and to remove makeup according to Garnier.

I heard foaming and I was all hands on desk because I adore foaming cleansers. But this is weird, weird, weird…You have to pull the pump up and squeeze the bottle to dispense the cleanser. This is messy in my opinion because it isn’t foaming in the least but more of a liquid, runny sudsy consistency which squirts everywhere when I squeeze the bottle. I dunno if I got a fluke or what because it says “squeeze the bottom to foam”. I’ve shaken it well but it still pumps out in a liquid….!?

It doesn’t lather or foam up very well once it comes into contact with water either and it only does a mediocre job cleansing skin. So if you are wearing makeup and heading into a cleanse you’ll likely come out of the experience with a good deal of makeup left on your skin! It does rinse clean away and doesn’t leave my skin tight or dry after use which is great.

I’ve tried some great products so far from this new Garnier Clean Skincare Collection but the Garnier Purifying Foam Cleanser wasn’t one of them unfortunately. This one I didn’t really love.

I had a completely different experience. Well the first couple of squeezes did dispense literally squirting liquid but the nature of foaming cleanser is just a mixture of liquid + air. It seems like Garnier overfilled their product to the point where it didn’t permit air to mix with their formula. Howeverrrr…once you dispense a couple more squeeze, a dry, rich and airy foam comes out.
I have a Clarisonic brush and a lot of time i like to utilize it while showering. I’ve left this bottle in the shower simply because of how convenient it is to squeeze foam into my brush or face effortlessly while showering. Squeeze it some more until you get the dry foam. The dry foam is sOoo light and fluffy. great formulation.
    would definitely purchase again.

i wish I can say I got it to foam at all but I tried several times but mostly it is a sudsy liquid!

I rarely feel the need to post on a product I’ve tried but can’t help it on this one. Good product – STUPID container design. Took off all my makeup but took 3 tries to figure out how to get it to come out of the bottle without making a mess. Finally got it. You have to pull up the cap then squeeze the bottle. Good luck with this one, Garnier!

I came here, because I couldn’t figure out how to OPEN the bottle. Pulling up and squeezing the bottle seemed like an absurd design, from the get-go. Agreed!

thanks for the great post, Muse! I did see this in the store and thought of buying but the “squeeze to foam” directions made me second guess. good to know you back up my gut feeling! =)
