Take a peek!
Guerlain Star Dust Gloss d’Enfer Maxi Shine Lip Gloss is a very no nonsense shade. It’s pure shade of translucent white that has iridescent shimmer in a variety of shades that give it a blue-ish almost aqua tint. On lips you can see hints of aqua, green, and even blue with a hint of shimmery white. It’s more of an overcoat to a lipstick in my opinion as on its own it is very, very sheer.
Guerlain Gloss d’Enfer Maxi Shine’s formula is quite moisturizing with a smooth, non-sticky texture that glides on easily. It’s an incredible luxe gloss that never feels heavy and remains virtually weightless. It has a high shine finish and wears for about two hours on me but three if I am wearing lipstick under it. It’s a thinner formula than my other Maxi Shines or maybe I’m imagining that so I get a little bit of a shorter wear time do to that. Guerlain actually markets it as an overcoat to give your lipstick sparkle so the sheer formula shouldn’t be written off because indeed it does give a very pretty sparkly layer!
I think it could potentially be a shade you pass up and say, “Oh well that’s not terribly eventful” but it catches the light in a rather beautiful way so lips sparkle and reflect a multitude of ways.
If you have matte lipsticks you’re looking to spice up this is a great overcoat to do so plus the shade is quite unique.
It’s available for a limited time with Guerlain’s Spring 2014 Collection so if you want it best grab it now my dears!
