Lorac Lip Luxe Lip Color is a brand new paraben-free lipstick launching with the Lorac Spring 2014 Collection that promises eight long hours of wear with a highly pigmented formula.
Available in six shades Lorac Lip Luxe Lip Color has promises a matte finish that doesn’t bleed of feather! Sounds like a treat to me….
Shall we take a look?
Lorac Lup Luxe Lip Color ($16) has a creamy semi-matte formula that wears and wears and wears and wears…it doesn’t quit. Even when it fades away it stains lips a brilliant hue and that lasts and lasts and lasts.
If you need strong, long wear to get you through the zombie plague or a week long session of WoW well this is the lipstick formula for you. Housed in a super slim, super slick mirrored case these small lippies weight in at 0.05 oz in size.
Although Lorac markets them as a matte formula I felt they were semi-matte in finish as they have a hint of sheen to them as well as a balm-y texture which is way more comfortable and weightless than a more traditional velvet matte lipstick. The pigmentation is astounding on these with full opaque coverage on a single pass. The colors are vibrant, rich, and very beautiful from what I’ve tested out thus far. The formula is light with a barely there finish on my lips. And the wear? Truly they can get you through an 8 hour work day without a touch up! Color stays where you put it and without eating or drinking these will last and last and last…even after they wear away you’ll notice they stain lips rather brilliantly and that stain will last for a good two hours after.
Scarlet and Orchid
And through it all you’ll find the formula doesn’t go dry, doesn’t migrate or feather, and looks as intense as the first time you applied it.
Lorac Lip Luxe Lipstick is a winner ladies and lads. This one should be added onto your must have Spring list.
My only issue?
I’d love a bigger shade selection!
Aside from that sheer perfection.
