Lush Neon Love Soap Review

Lush Neon Love Soap

Get ready for Valentine’s Day 2014 with a little Lush Neon Love Soap. Just launched and available for a limited time this sounded quite promising made fresh passion fruit juice as well as soya yogurt to nourish your body and notes of citrus, cinnamon leaf oil, and rosewood boy did it sound promising.

Reviews read how cinnamon-y and delicious it smelled but..

I think I got a bad batch because my Lush Neon Love Soap kinda smells like Big Blue and I do not like the smell of Big Blue 🙁 I’m going to try and hop by Lush today and grab another chunk because I’m pretty sure something must be off here.

Mine kinda has a citrus-y seaweed scent. It really reminds me of a natural aquatic scent, very ocean-y. I don’t love Seanick nor do I love Big Blue so I really was kinda surprised that a big old chunk of pink soap with white hearts decorated on it smells so elemental versus romantic or soft or even floral!

Granted, Lush has never followed the rules when it comes to their unique fragrances but this one really surprised me!

The good news is if this isn’t a fluke lovers of Big Blue sure are going to be happy with Neon Love.

As for me I need a second try out to be sure this is indeed what it smells like!

Drop by your local Lush store or shop it at lush.com.

Anyone smell Neon Love yet?

I agree that the scent description sounds promising. I hope you just got a bad batch and that somewhere out there is a lovely cinnamon/rose soap waiting for you.

Hope you got an off sample! The scent description sounds so lovely, it’d be so disappointing if it’s really nothing like it!

It’s possible! I’ve had it happen with lush before 😀 Def heading to the store and checking it out!

I actually work at a Lush store and while I LOVE so many of our products, this one is a miss for me. It smells very plastic-like to me, like a pool toy. It does smell differently when you’re using it but it doesn’t sound to me like you have a bad batch-it’s very salty and weak when wet. Try out the Tender is the Night massage bar instead…it’s my new favorite!

salty! yes that’s a word for it sarah! It kinda smells like seaweed/salt/oceany to me…def not romantic ;-D

I got an arm treatment in store today using Neon Love soap, You Snap the Whip, Close to You massage bar and Vanilla Puff dusting powder and I think it worked really well in combination with the other scents. I liked it a lot and found that it layered well!

I was in a Lush store way earlier in the month before they were able to put Valentine’s Day items out for sale. The associate was kind and grabbed a chunk from the back for me to sniff. The scent was very faint and it didn’t smell like cinnamon to me either. If I happen to be by the shop, I will grab a slice anyway.
