Milani Brow Shaping Clear Wax Pencil Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Milani Brow Shaping Clear Wax

The Milani Brow Shaping Clear Wax Pencil reminds me of those wax pencils you get with Easter egg dying sets haha…! Remind me to try it out when I’m dying eggs this year!

But for now it’ll keep track of my brows which like to get all crazy like JR from Dallas. Did they intentionally spike his brows up that or was that completely natural!?

Milani’s chubby Brow Shaping Clear Wax Pencil ($4.49) will be added to the permanent collection at CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart in February.

This little guy is perfectly portable but it has such a strong hold no need to travel with it. A quick swipe on and a gentle pat from me keeps my scary brows from doing their own thing as the day progresses. I typically use this as the very last step of my makeup application. Just swipe it on, gently pat my brows down and into place and the hold lasts all day! It isn’t a sticky grip nor does it make my brows stiff or crunchy and at the end of the day it comes right off when I wash my face!

Loves this stuff.

For someone with truly full and crazy brows it is a god sent.

Muse Approved.

I currently use a mascara-like clear gel on my unruly eyebrows and it does wonders on keeping ’em in order. Should I try out a clear wax pencil? Could it be as good, or even better?

Sounds interesting. Hoping the lackluster CVSs around here get some of this new Milani stuff

  • Miranda

Love that this is clear. I had been using an IT Cosmetics brow gel pencil but because it was colored, It’d turn out very color blocky because I wanted to coat every hair in the gel.

Looks great! It’s on my wishlist to try. Now if only my CVS would actually do a restock and get some more new products in (they haven’t restocked their Wet n Wild section in years).

Hi Muse, have you tried the NYX version before? Anastassia does one too right?

    • Isabella Muse

I’ve tried both violet they are both great, Anastassia is one HG but this is a perfect dupe for it at a quarter the price!

This looks like such a good idea, I was looking for a new clear gel, but I may try this instead. My brows are full & thick and I like them to look glossy (no brow powders), does this make your brows dull or matte?

    • Isabella Muse

no neither, it’s clear doesn’t really look like wearing anything…

To comment on JR from Dallas, I heard that his brows were naturally cray and they normally messed them up to make them even more crazy. LOL.

    The product seems intriguing too.

You’ll probably think I’m nuts, but this looks like something I would use as a lip primer. The now-discontinued Paula Dorf Perfect Illusion for lips looks like a similar wax, and I’m trying to find something to replace it. I wonder if it’s safe for lips?

Thank you so much for this review!! I was very skeptical about buying this product. I decided to try it out and I am in love!
