Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color Review & Swatches
Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color lands at drugstores (Walgreens, Walmart, and CVS) this Spring and will be a permanent part of the Milani Collection.
Are the glossy? A liquid lipstick? A stain? Let’s just say a little bit of everything. Milani formulated them with pure pigment so they are extra loud and bright with the full coverage of a lipstick but the thin, lightweight consistency of a gloss (but no shine here my friends, all very matte and proper aside from colors that is!).
Take a peek!
Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color ($6.49) have the formula if a lightweight liquid lipstick with a velvety matte finish. At first application I was “Oh no! Matte!” but don’t let the demure matte finish fool you as these are all drama! These are extremely pigmented with full opaque color on a single application. A flat sponge applicator makes it easy to swipe them on and go. Of course, if matte isn’t your bag clear gloss on top REALLY makes them stand out and say “Heyszzzz!”.
For a matte product I was impressed as they aren’t drying (not hydrating either though) and they don’t apply patchy or uneven. Color is very smooth and perfect. Shades do not migrate of feather on my drier lips and all remains fresh intense for a full five hours, six in some cases with my testing!
Although promote as a formula that wears like a lipstick yet has the shine of a gloss I’d say perhaps the thinner consistency resembles a gloss but there isn’t any shine to be had here, just pure velvety matte gloriousness for the sparkle, shimmer, and shine haters out there.

Red Extreme
Heads up on the names though as one is called Fiery Coral but is actually fuchsia pink, what the what?! Confusion!
Aside from the unusual names I’d say Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color has it going on! Lightweight, barely there feel with intense pigment and a long wearing formula. P.S. I know you’re curious about the staining effect but sadly they really don’t stain all that much once they fade away!
Buy ’em soon! They launch in February.
