Milani Pretty Natural Color Statement Lipstick3

Milani Pretty Natural Color Statement Lipstick is just one of several new permanent shades in the Color Statement Lipstick Collection. I’m such a suck for shades like Pretty Natural as it is one of those pretty MLBB (my lips but better) pinks that I adore.

What sort of MLBB shades do you love? One of my top favs is Urban Decay Naked Lipstick and Lipstick Queen Jean Queen Lipstick and Lipgloss.

Pretty Natural def is up there with great my lip but better shades but it is a bit drying…!

Milani Pretty Natural Color Statement Lipstick is a pretty medium pink with hints of rose. This is a cream formula with a satin finish and a strong watermelon scent and flavor that I enjoy but can prove a little too much for sensitive users. The shade has a soft satin finish with excellent color coverage on a single application. It wears for four hours but does have a drier feel so you might be comfortable through the entire wear so a little clear gloss on top helps this along.

I find the Color Statement Lipstick Collection can be inconsistent formula wise. Some are outstandingly creamy and apply like butter where as shades like Pretty Natural are drier and have a bit of tugging involved during application. This color is gorgeous but the formula itself leaves a little bit to be desired. In order to work with it I found applying clear gloss on top gives it a smoother appearance and a more weightless, comfortable wear as alone it does feel a bit dry and looks a bit uneven and patchy on my lips. Worn with or without gloss I had no issues with it migrating or feathering.

If you’re looking for a pretty MLBB pink I think you’ll love Pretty Natural but you will have to contend with a few application and wear issues.

This shade will launch in February at CVS.

Thanks for the heads-up: I’ll skip this one, as my lips are dry enough already. That’s why I share your enthusiasm for Lipstick Queen’s Jean Queen: Poppy got that one exactly right!

Pretty color! I wish it isn’t drying/tugging. But that doesn’t deter me from buying when it’s already available in the online shop I’m buying it from.

I love this color on you! Makes me want it! I’m a little disappointed that the formula isn’t consistent here. I own Black Cherry, Sangria and Uptown Mauve which I love and wanted to grab more shades. I’m a little leery now. But I’ll probably end up with more of them anyway lol

Thanks for the review! The reason that they seem inconsistent is that some have a matte finish. However, it’s not always easy to tell from the tube which are matte and which are creamy.
