Milani Rose Femme Color Statement Lipstick Review & Swatches

Here’s another Milani Color Statement Lipstick shade I fell in love with recently! Meet Milani Rose Femme Color Statement Lipstick one of several new permanent shades launching in February for Spring 2014.

At a glance this shade is a little boring but try it and I know you’ll love it as much as I do!

Milani Rose Femme Color Statement Lipstick has a super creamy texture with a nice buttery glide on lips. It’s highly fragranced and flavored with a perfume-y watermelon taste and flavor so if you’re sensitive keep that in mind prior to purchasing. I find the Color Statement Lipstick Collection sometimes has a few drier misses with their formula but this has a beautifully creamy texture with a slight sheen and a creamy texture that wears for a solid four hours on my lips.

The shade is to be celebrated here as at a glance I think Rose Femme is a little boring but on lips it’s quite a delightful MLBB (my lips but better) shade. This is a warmer dusky rose but it has a small element of mauve to it as well. It isn’t a traditional MLBB shade but it does give lips a very nice natural, nude appearance.

So far most of the shades for the Spring 2014 launch have been very, very promising so I do suggest a look at these when they launch in store as I’m sure you’ll find one or several to love!

    You’re killing me here with these Milani reviews! All the colors look super gorgeous, but I cannot bear that smell. I may have told you that I’ve actually tossed quite a few out because of that godawful scent.

    But lucky you that the watermelony stench doesn’t bother you AND they look great on!

      I don’t mind so much, typically smells/flavors don’t bother me but I admit these are STRONG as hell but I don’t mind it so much. They are really nice shades! You should try clear gloss on top it kinda takes some of the flavor away from ’em ;-D

    That is really beautiful! I’m going to watch for that one, too! I haven’t seen ANY new Milani in my area yet but the stores that carry it have all their OLD Milani stuff on sale to clear it out so maybe in a month or so. . . . ;P

    ‘Rose Femme’ is my Daily Grail.

    Creamy, not too heavy, pigmented, not drying, lasts for hours. It’s a gorgeous natural shade that’s flattering to my skin tone and just seems to go with everything. TIP: Maybelline’s Superstay Ink Crayon in ‘Stay Exceptional’ is somewhat similar in colour and lovely on its own; however, it pairs brilliantly beneath Milani’s Rose Femme, giving it something to adhere to; making the subtle, sophisticated look I’m after last even longer.

    Thanks so much for the years of effort you’ve put into this blog. It’s a reservoir for many, even people like me who (until now) never comment. You’ve been a wonderful discovery as we have similar colouring and tastes, and the money I;ve saved over the last few years is most appreciated.
