Olay Fresh Effects Dew Over Hydrating Gel Moisturizer Review & Swatches
For all the gel moisturizer fan girls and guys out there meet the new Olay Fresh Effects Dew Over Hydrating Gel Moisturizer launching at drugstores now.
Excited?
Me too. I have a total thing going on for gel moisturizers especially Asian ones and of course, do love Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream!
Let’s take a look at Olay Fresh Effects Dew Over Hydrating Gel Moisturizer and see what the good word is!
Olay Fresh Effects Dew Over Hydrating Gel Moisturizer is one of several new Olay Fresh Effects Skincare products launching for Spring 2014.
Olay Fresh Effects Hydrating Gel Moisturizer will be available in a small size for $3.49 (great if you don’t wanna commit to a full size) or you can grab the regular 1.7 oz for $12.99.
This formula is oil-free and according to my original launch info it was supposed to have an SPF 15 but I don’t see anything about that on the box. It’s infused with honeysuckle and antioxidant-rich white tea and smells positively delightful! It has a very fresh, floral scent that’s in no way subtle so if you’re sensitive to fragrance in your skincare do beware.
This has a cool refreshing feel when applied on skin. The gel is a transulcent shade of light green and absorbs instantly into skin. Funny thing about this product is the fact that it kinda goes matte once it sets. I wouldn’t call the effects as moisturizing as Garnier’s version which leads me to believe that oily skin will feel right at home with this one. It isn’t greasy nor does it leave skin oily or shiny. The matte dry down is comfortable on my drier skin and as a daily moisturizer it does ok with my drier skin but I do need more moisture than this provides because my skin is like the Sahara desert!
Overall, Olay Fresh Effects Dew Over Hydrating Gel Moisturizer is a nifty, lightweight moisturizer for thirsty yet oily skin! For those of us with drier skin you might feel like you need more moisture than this is willing to provide. In that case, it’ll do well for Summer wear when your drier skin might be producing a bit more oily. For those seeking a lightweight, quick to absorb moisturizer this is a nice pick up just don’t expect super intense hydration for drier skin types.
This launches at drugstores shortly (I saw the entire new Spring 2014 Collection at CVS recently!).
