Olay Fresh Effects Soak Up the Sun Lightweight Moisturizing Sunscreen

Olay Fresh Effects Soak Up the Sun Lightweight Moisturizing Sunscreen ($14.99) is one of several new Olay Fresh Effects products that are launching for Spring 2014.

Take a look!

Olay Fresh Effects Lightweight Moisturizing Sunscreen

Olay Fresh Effects Soak Up the Sun Lightweight Moisturizing Sunscreen would possibly be one of my favorite skincare products of 2014 IF it had more protection.

This is a sheer very lightweight runny consistency moisturizer that’s infused with essence of honeysuckle and white tea. It has a delightful fresh floral scent that’s a bit strong so beware if you’re sensitive. It absorbs in a snap and kinda reminds me a bit of Etude House Dear Girls Be Clear Moisturizer.

The formula is oil free and promises 24 hours of moisture through the wear. Personally my skin is dry so I get some nice hydration from this but I ideally I do need more. This is one of those great lightweight, weightless moisturizers that’s ideal for Summer wear. It’s light, it isn’t greasy or oily, doesn’t produce shine, absorbs easily, and doesn’t leave a white cast on skin. It also contains a Broad Spectrum SPF 15 but…

That’s a little low for me.

Hook me up with an SPF 50 in this formula and I’d be one happy camper for Summer 2014! The SPF 15 is a little low so it might make a rather perfect lightweight moisturizer slash sunscreen for Winter when you aren’t outside as much.

This one is available now at drugstores.

Think you’ll try it?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I would try this if it weren’t all non-physical sunscreen agents. Sadly, they irritate my eyes and sometimes produce a stinging sensation on my face. 🙁

I feel like an spf higher than that wouldn’t be as lightweight though.

You should try some of the Japanese sunscreens. A lot of them are high in SPF, moisturizing and lightweight. Muse recommends some if you don’t know where to start.

Muse Have you tried Neutrogena spf 70 lotion, it is like the Korean sunscreens, even down to the shaker device in the bottle!I am estatic, because I don’t have to order from Korea anymore ! It comes in the same sort of bottle, and it is also packaged in a card like wrapping! Thanks Joseph Valenti

Hello, I’m just wondering if you could recommend any sunscreens that use only zinc oxide and titanium dioxide? have you done any reviews on those?? currently searching for a good one, my skin is so sensitive it stings if I use “chemical” sunscreens 🙁

This got a “good” rating on Paula’s Choice. The only reasons she didn’t give it a higher rating were the low SPF and the potentially irritating fragrance. Otherwise, she says its a good product. Along with your review, I think I’ll try it!
