Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Color Corrector & Concealer Review & Swatches

Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Color concealer

Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Color Corrector & Concealer is a brand new correcting and concealer cream that launches for Spring 2014 in three shades exclusively at Ulta and QVC.

I absolutely adore the Philosophy Miracle Worker Collection of skincare so I was all about checking out this concealer because, hey, I’m not only a concealer junkie but also very much a Miracle Worker fan girl!

The formula promises to brighten eyes as it conceals with peptides, coffee bean extract and hyaluronic acid. All of these ingredients did intrigue me for sure.

Take a look!

Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous concealer

Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Color Corrector & Concealer ($25) is a formula that promises too much and delivers too little unfortunately.

Split into two parts this is a correcting and concealing duo which allows you to mix both shades of color or you can use one shade to correct and the other patted on top to conceal much like Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage. I purchased the Medium shade which had a peach almost salmon shade of corrector and a beige shade of concealer.

There’s really nothing kindly to say about the concealer formula….! It’s simply unusable! The formula is quite dense and produces VERY, VERY, VERY sheer color. You really have to be in fairly good shape with absolutely nothing to conceal in order to use a formula this subtle. Once warmed up it does blend decently but has a tendency to fall into creases easily with very little wear time because I feel like as soon as I apply it, its already disappeared! I was expecting a creamy emollient formula such as from Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier concealer but this is far, far from it.

Unfortunately I don’t even have much more to say about the product…even younger eyes who might need very basic coverage probably should avoid this one. It’s just that bad.

Skip it.

You’ve been warned.

Sorry Philosophy I generally adore your skincare but this venture into concealer left me with a bad taste.

Tried it?

I got mine from QVC.com.

I purchased this item.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Wow, I almost bought this last week. It sounded so promising. Thanks for your honest opinion! 🙂

my pleasure! I’d avoid it OR purchase it from a place you know you can return it if you hate it!

I’ll take your word Muse on this one! For that price the consistency reminds me of an E.L.F product. Love the quote on the outer packaging. I was impressed with Estee Lauder’s new concealer they launched last fall, same packaging but a wide variety of skin tones, and SPF 25, and $23 I was impressed and I’m really glad I bought it. You should check it out sometime! Estee Lauder also has some new illuminating/ highlighter pins that sound promising as well! If you’re into highlighters and concealers all in one product!

This sounds awful. I don’t have much to conceal and I still wouldn’t buy this. I understand the purpose of a lightweight concealer because they can feel a bit heavy sometimes. But a sheer concealer? It just defeats the purpose lol.

THANK YOU. I tested this yesterday in my local Ulta, and thought it was terrible. No coverage, really hard to apply decently, and just not what I’ve come to expect from philosophy. I love their Miracle Worker dark spot treatment, so I was hopeful. But…no. Just…no.

my pleasure dear! Def awful! One of my friends tried it too, she tweeted me yesterday, saying that the ulta rep told her it was incredible. EH!? did she try the same product we did?! It’s awful 🙁 I love the dark spot treatment as well, do you use the pads too? THEY ARE AMAZINGS!

  • Staryu

Jeez. Thanks for the warning. It’s shameful that they even released these.

Chick at ulta sold me this a couple days ago. So far, for the money I’m
Not impressed. I went in for Its bye bye under eye and she said this is better I like a creamer consistency. This just isn’t want I want. Probably taking it back. Have you used the bye bye underrate (the waterproof one with the anti-aging. It’s in a tube). I have blue dark circles and can’t find any concealer I like. 🙁
