Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glow Nude Blush Review & Swatches

Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glow Nude Blush

Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glow Nude Blush is available in two shades this Spring with the new Physicians Formula Nude Wear Spring 2014 Collection. This is a permanent collection of products so if you don’t find it in drugstores right away no worries it’ll pop up shortly.

I always think of it as Physicians Formulas customary Valentine’s Day release as their products for Spring always seem so romantic and cutesy for not only the season but the Valentine’s Day holiday too right?

These new palettes come in flesh colored square compact with a sweet metallic pink bow gracing the front.

Take a peek!

I’ll be honest I didn’t love Physicians Formula Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Blush and I’m not really in love with Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glow Nude Blush. I know many people really love the Sexy Glow Blush but the formula just wasn’t all that great to me.

Nude Wear Glow Nude Blush is really pretty but the texture and the color pay off just isn’t for me.

This comes in a square compact as a I mentioned above with a dual compartment featuring the blush on top as well as a mirror and blush on the bottom. I mentioned in my Nude Wear Glow Nude Powder review that the brush was awful and unfortunately same falls true here. It’s very scratchy and it sheds horribly.

Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glow Nude Blush is marketed as a no makeup blush that gives a glow from within look and a bare skin effect. Honestly that’s about right as the pigmentation is very sheer here although it can be built up to some extent. The blush is available in a Natural and a Rose shade. Natural is the shade selection I liked best and the one that had the best color pay off where as Rose is a more delicate pastel shade selection that didn’t really go well with my skin tone. Although I will say I felt a little too made up as I was kinda sitting here trying to build and build and build to get the best color pay off and in doing so the formula clung to my drier areas so I ended up having the a reverse effect of a very made up look!

The blush is broken down into four cubes each ranging from lighter to darker shades with a over spray on each cube with a single letter spelling out “Nude”. They include one very light shade that acts as a highlighter of sorts and adds a touch of a glow-y finish once applied. I dislike the addition of the shade as it takes away from the darker shades and sheers them out. I’m not really getting the makeup less look here because the blush has a very velvety, powdery consistency that clings to drier areas on my face. I also felt like it was a touch chalky as well. Apologies as my swatches below do not include individual swatches of the Natural shade just the shade blended all together but this post will be updated with them shortly.

I think some people are going to adore Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glow Nude Blush. I’m just sadly not one of those people. If you liked the Sexy Glow line of blushes I’m positive you’ll adore the Glow Nude ones as well! Personally my skin is a bit too dry to enjoy this powdery texture…I just feel like I’m wearing too much makeup and the sheerness of the blush is disappointing as well!

These are available now at drugstores.

With the name Nude, I was expecting more of a nude / brown type blush color.

I don’t understand the love for PF at all. The only thing I’ve ever liked of theirs is the liquid eyeliner. Everything else I have tried and promptly given away, especially powder or blush. And it’s overpriced!

Agreed on the pricing! In Canada it’s all pretty much $20 per product. I have one thing from them, a Happy Booster Blush that I got on a DEEP discount. It’s a nice product when you want something shimmery and rosy, but I would never pay full price for it.

I was at Rite Aid last night and saw the collection. I was so tempted to buy them, but held off since I saw your powder review. Unfortunately, I have dry skin so as cute they look I won’t getting them. Too bad the formula doesn’t match up to the cuteness =/

aw sorry Laura…it’s just a little clingy to me 🙁 Not sure I really like any of the more recent blushes from PF, they are so powdery and dry!

  • Jacy

I think this looks like such a nice natural flush on you! Suits you very well!

  • Kim

I have the natural shade of this and i love it! It is sheer, but sometimes i like that, as i tend to have a heavy hand.

Muse, I’ve noticed that you never fail to mention products that cling to your dry patches but I never see it in the photos. And I look closely because I have dry skin and I really, really rely on your opinion on that. This is the first photo where I can actually see it. So these must be some dry, powdery bombs. And the color is actually too much. I think this is the first pic I have EVER seen of you where I went whoa! How much blush is that? So glad you reviewed these, I may have gone for it but not now for sure. Thanks!!

    • Isabella Muse

thanks deb happy to hear ;-D you won’t because I do some heavy duty prepping prior to ANY makeup application 😀 but sometimes you get products like this that will show no matter what…! my pleasure glad the review helped you!

I hate their enclosed brushes… wish they would stop including them in every single compact, it’s a waste. *rant over* Thank you for the swatches, I saw these on Saturday and was curious…. Not any more. I love PF Shimmer Strips Mascara and gel liner but I haven’t had too much success with anything else. Their blushers sit there, looking cheap on my skin.

agreed! same issues btw nancy…they just look awful on my dry skin, very chalky 🙁

  • fancie

I agree with Carm. I’ve never tried any Physicians Formula stuff because everything seemed to be so sheer or pale. I got a little caught up on the packaging and wanted to try the bronzer but I’m sure it’s going to be disappointing too. Bleh!

But they look so pretty on your wrist! Hmmmmm. I’m not sure what I’ll do. I need another blush like I need a hole in the head lol!

    • Isabella Muse

try it out silk! who knows you might love it 🙂 ha…me too but that doesn’t stop me girl!
