Physicians Formula Super CC Cream Review & Swatches

Physicians Formula Super CC + Color Correction Care Cream is one of two brand new CC Creams that Physicians Formula is launching into the permanent collection for Spring 2014.

Physicians Formula Super CC Cream is available in a Light and Light/Medium shade selection with a formula contains an SPF 30 and multitasks as a color correcting foundation product that tones down rednes, brightens, and corrects imperfections.

Physicians Formula Super CC + Color Correct Care Cream is one of several new products that Physicians Formula in a new Super CC Collection. I’ve already recently reviews the concealer and powder that also happens to be apart of this collection.

I grabbed this is the Light/Medium shade selection which is quite orange-y beige but actually applies considerably lighter than it looks in the tube. I was worried about the formula since I wasn’t loving the Organic Wear CC Cream’s texture but this has none of the issues I experienced with that formula. This is rich and creamy with a nice hydrating effect when applied that absorbs easily into skin and leaves a slightly dewy finish but nothing oily, greasy, or too shiny.

The formula supposed has color correct pigments that correct different issues. Yellow pigment acts to blur imperfections on warmer skin tones where as green tones down redness and pink brightens and illuminates. You can’t technically see these pigments in the formula where as in the powder version of this product you do catch glimpses of them.

It’s supposed to contain Lipobrite which brightens skin and some sort of AHA to exfoliate with Vitamin C as well. I’ve used it a month and haven’t really noticed my skin brightening over time but if it does, hey, I’d be a happy girl. It does claim to visibly correct age sports, dark circles blemishes, redness, fine lines, wrinkles, etc…I do see visible easing of dullness, uneven skin tone, and signs of fatigue which are also promised. However, whether it is actually treating dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles, etc that would require quite a good deal of usage and time however, I’d take those claims with a grain of salt.

It does brighten when applied though. Unlike the Organic Wear CC Cream where I experienced dullness this has a nice bright flawless finish. Coverage is sheerer but considerably better than the Organic Wear’s formula so you can rely on this to ease minor redness, even skin tone, and give an overall brighter appearance to duller skin. I wanna say it’s ALMOST buildable to medium coverage but it’s best to say it is sheerer at this point but not as sheer as a tinted moisturizer that’s for sure. The finish is flawless and seamless appearing very natural and pretty.

Above you’ll find swatches from left to right that include a blended version, a little bit of a heavier swatch, and the last one which is just squeezed from the tube.

If I wear it with powder, which I’m not keen on, it’ll last between four and five hours. Without powder I can get about four hours of wear without fading or oxidizing.

This is a considerably better product than the Organic Wear CC Cream so if you’re sitting down trying to decide between the two you have my vote to grab this as I feel it offers better coverage, a more flawless finish, a longer wear, and a superior formula that doesn’t separate or have a watery/runny consistency. This is a great product for lightweight coverage with very basic color correcting abilities such as brightening for dull skin, correcting uneven skin tone, and easing minor redness. If you like product that give you that my skin but better appearance I’d say Physicians Formula Super CC Cream does that well.
