Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Concealer Review & Swatches
Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Concealer is a new roll on spot concealer with an SPF 15 that contains a powerful brightening ingredient that supposedly addresses dark, age, and sun spots over time.
I’ve been using it for about a week and a half but can’t really say the claims of brighter, more even looking skin and less dark spots and fine lines and wrinkles is true but I can tell you about the formula, coverage, etc…!
Shall we have a look at the new Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Concealer?
Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Concealer ($12.95) is available in a single shade of Light/Medium. This shade is kinda a neutral lighter peachy beige in my opinion.
I thought at first this would be an applicator with an attached brush for application but it actually has a roller ball for application. The formula and packaging quite remind me of Garnier Caffeine Anti-Dark Circles Tinted Eye Roll On.
You can’t really use this under eyes nor is it marketed as an under eye concealer. Physicians Formula markets this purely as something to be used on your face. Personally I don’t use concealer on my face but I grabbed it anyway and of course, I went ahead and tried it under my eyes regardless. The roller ball is very cool to the touch and feels lovely but I don’t find it an ideal solution for application thus I swipe on and blend away with my fingers. Under my eyes coverage is very sheer and really even on my face when I tested it out I noticed it was sheer. It does have a very nice brightening effect though and gives my eyes a wider awake appearance. So if you go ahead and conceal first and perhaps follow up with a little of this to brighten that might be a great way to use under your eyes but on its own you won’t be happy with the coverage it offers.
The texture is quite runny and very much like Garnier’s formula in this. It blends flawlessly and isn’t terribly drying but more of a satiny finish.
According to the box they say it can erase 20 years of natural skin darkening…! That would be great if it works but I’ve been using a very short time so visible results like this aren’t something I can speak of as of yet. You can likely use it for a little contouring though so your face looks visibly brighter and perhaps more youthful!
Stepping back I have to say Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Concealer isn’t a wise choice for me because I don’t use spot concealers. If it was something to conceal my eyes with I might be happy with the brightening abilities but disappointed with the sheerness. I don’t think this is necessarily something you’ll NEED to head out to purchase but you might enjoy it if you thought Garnier’s version was excellent. The lack of shade selections and the pigmentation makes it an iffy purchase for most but if you tried and loved it do share your thoughts!
