Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer

Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer has launched on both Sephora.com and TarteCosmetics.com today! This is interesting turn of events since the Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer gets a release in February in the Tarte Amazonian Colored Clay Collection which is the QVC February Todays Special Value. Typically QVC gets the world wide exclusive to certain products and I thought for sure this new CC Primer would be one of those items but lucky us we get it before that set launches later next month!

Take a look!

Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer ($34) is a correcting stick infused with colored clay that gives skin an even airbrushed finish.

It brightens, evens, blurs the look of imperfections, and neutralizes redness as well as discolorations with an oil and talc-free formula that glides easily onto skin with a creamy, smooth finish.

It has an hourglass applicator that’s designed to deliver the perfect balance of color and correction to your skin.

The colors of the stick include purple which brightens dullness and green that neutralizes redness.

The concept quite reminds me of the Stila One Step Correct Primer that launched Fall 2010 except this is a stick formulation versus the cream of Stila’s formula. It seems like Tarte took the idea of Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer but improved upon it by not only making it a primer but also a foundation product.

This is available in five shade selections of Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, and Deep.

I’m looking forward to trying it out.

How about you?

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Looks interesting! Lol just placed an order with them for their BB primer… Damn.. I need a little correcting and brightening in my life 😉 Any idea when they will be in stores?

This product interests me. Think the concept would be good for Summer, being compact and wouldn’t take much time to put on. Just not sure how I feel on stick foundations. Will wait for a review and swatches on this one. Would have been better too if they put an SPF in it since it will be launching for Spring.

I didn’t know it was in a stick form. I am going to keep my eye out for reviews on the TSV kit.. I am very curious about it now.

Hi Muse. I received this is the February QVC TSV (couldn’t wait until February) and I think it is fantastic! Very easy to blend and place in strategic locations since it is in a stick form.

Btw, thanks for the blog. Love reading it everyday!

aw thank YOU stephanie and thanks for joining me daily here 😀 YAY! I’m hearing mixed reviews so happy it worked for you!

Just got mine!!! First I have to complain, the colors separated and broke apart! I was able to get it back together and after one use can’t really tell it arrived broken.

As for the product, the color is a little darker and more yellow than I expected. I use light in all Tarte concealers and fair beige in the 12 hr foundation. I had to blend well with this. Might have been better off with the fair.
The product did as it said i really felt like it neutralized my redness! It was a little to light of coverage to go without foundation so I added the smallest amount I’ve ever used over the top.
I love the finish. It’s more matte than the foundation but still very natural looking. We’ll see if the silicones break me or or if I can l keep using it! So far so good!!

Sad to say I gave up on it. 🙁 After a week of use my face was very dry and subsequently breaking out. I’m looking to try it again in the summer.
