Read the Warning Label, Not for Bollocks

veet for men

Apparently British men are failing to read the warning label where Veet for Men Hair Removal Gel Cream comes into place….

In recent hysterical reviews on Amazon UK many men, ahem, tried Veet in unusual areas and the results, although I’m sure they weren’t supposed to be, were pee your pants funny.

I do not have sensitive skin but the one time I used a depilatory on my legs I became incredibly itchy! And on my face? Forget it. It burns…! Oh god how it burns.

I guess depilatory cream just aren’t an option for hair removal for this Muse.

One thing I’d probably never even consider even if depilatory cream worked for me would be to apply this stuff anywhere near my va jay jay.

So of course, I find it funny the amount of reviews on Veet for Men Hair Removal Gel are absolutely horrifying hysterical as some of these men smeared this all over areas that probably should never see the light of a depilatory cream.

Just some random quotes from reviews:

“Pros: A small expense, certainly didn’t burn a hole in my pocket.

Cons: Did burn a hole in my scrotum”

“Being a loose cannon who does not play by the rules the first thing I did was ignore the warning and smear this all over my knob and bollocks. The bollocks I knew and loved are gone now.”

Needless to say these reviews are must reads so do check them all out at www.amazon.co.uk.

And please, read the warning label, not for bollocks.

Also not for your face. Not that I’m dumb enough to try it on my face *cough* but if I did my face would be red and scabby for 4 days and I would have to hide in my room. But yeah totally not dumb enough to try that.

OMG, thank you for this great bit of hilarity! I totally needed this today. 😀

I never get tired of men’s “junk” humor. 🙂 Though, I have to confess, I had to google the meaning of some of the UK colloquialisms for it such as barse and nipsy. (Although I had SOME idea of what it was) 🙂

TMI Warning: When I was about 14, I decided to use Nair on my bikini line, as it was Summer, and I didn’t want “razor bumps”. Being fairly “new” to hair removal, I had absolutely no idea what was in store… First of all, it itched & burned. However, I thought it was supposed to “tingle” a bit, which meant it was “working”, and the packaged warned of such “tingling”. Well, if that weren’t bad enough, somehow, the Nair sort of “migrated” toward the center, and I didn’t realize it. When I went to shower it off, well… Yeah. It gets worse; it was in the peak of Summer, in L.A., and it was HOT! The slightest bit of persperation (oh, and I took dance classes, as well, and wore poly-blend tights…) just set everything off. Moral of the story: depilatories are pure EVIL!!!

omg wait, it got sorta inside!? omg..not to be gross but did it blister up!? OUCH!!

      • amy

Oh, not like *that*, LOL! I meant I ended up with the narrowest of all landing strips! Also, the hair removed was all wonky, and I couldn’t even trim it neatly. I had random bald patches, too!

        • Isabella Muse

PHEW! ;-D lol I guess random bald patches aren’t bad compared to actually getting nair inside your lady bits ;-D

    • Isabella Muse

hey sue! these are DEF not real LOL…I would think if any of this happened most of these men would be in the hospital after smearing this on their ahem ass ;-D seriously, they’d have to be rushed to the emegency lol! can’t wait to read the aluminum foil one I’m off to take a look lol! thank YOU for sharing haha!

      • Isabella Muse

LMAO oh this is going to be wonderful thank you sue already my favorite is “The extra shininess of this top grade foil means that their probe rays are deflected back with stunning accuracy”

I love the reviews on Amazon – remember the pink lady pen, suitable for a lady’s delicate hand (I believe it was an ordinary Bic but pink).and the wolf/moon t-shirt of yesteryear?
And there used to be a recipe for how to boil water on Epicurious that had scads of reviews and critiques!

    • Isabella Muse

LOL thanks for the good reading badrockandroll now I have something else to laugh hysterically over like a hyena!

  • Em

i actually do nair off my vulva hair (waxing’s expensive around here and razors aren’t nearly as effective) and the heinous agony eventually tapers off into a dull throb of pain. smooth as a veal cutlet yo

seriously though this is a stupid ass thing to do so don’t do it. i’m an idiot. and hey, if it would just grow into a lightning bolt shape all on its own, i wouldn’t have to. THANKS NATURE!

    Dear Muse,

After reading about men and Veet last night for five hours, I can say that I almost needed Depends! I was laughing so hard!!!
