Wet n Wild BB Cream Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild BB Cream ($4.99) is a new 8 in 1 Beauty Balm formula that’s available in five shades that will be added to the permanent Wet n Wild Fergie Collection.

I discovered my recently at Walgreens and I’m unsure at this point where else it will be available but I’ll update when I see it elsewhere.

Wet n Wild BB Cream promises to even out skin tone with light to medium coverage and a basic SPF 15. This is more of a tinted moisturizer formula that a true BB Cream so if you can get based off the light to medium coverage promise you’ll be sorely disappointed!

At $4.99 it isn’t a bad little purchase but it is in no way a true full coverage BB Cream experience either. Even built this is very, very sheer.

The formula is most like Hada Labo BB Moist Cream to me as it has a gel-like texture which absorbs easily and provides a dewy finish that feels quite lovely on my drier skin. It has a very subtle fresh scent that isn’t easy to detect and should be quite alright for sensitive users.

The lighter, sheerer cover brightens skin up nicely while evening out skin tone. Most of the US BB Creams I’ve tried are basically a my skin but better finish due to their lack of pigment. So if you already have fairly nice skin and aren’t in need of a ton of coverage but perhaps just wish for something to ease dullness, brighten, and even out your skin tone you’ll likely do well by this. However, for those suffering redness or a ruddy complexion or those who have blemishes, acne, or acne scarring and rely on their foundation and BB Cream to conceal these issues you’ll definitely be disappointed.

I blended and patted this in very gently on the left hand side of arm so you can see how sheer it applies.� The middle swatch is a bit heavier so you can get a feel for the product’s consistency and the last swatch is what it looks like right out of the tube, you can see the gel-like texture of the BB well in that swatch.

You can of course, use it as a corrector or a prep for makeup although BB Creams in Asia do take the place of foundation and other products but you can’t get away with that here.

The dewy finish feels quite lightweight and second skin-like on my drier skin and wear time is about three to four hours before my dullness returns.

Overall, Wet n Wild BB Cream is one of those wonderfully cheap run to the store on errands or light makeup day products. I wouldn’t use it for long wearing perfection I would however, use it on days I just want basic, clean, natural coverage that’s lightweight, easy to apply, and gets me out of the house in a hurry! The sheerness of the product disappointed but if you want full coverage perhaps head in for a purchase of Wet n Wild Cover All Cream Foundation.
