Wet n Wild Fergie On Edge Long Wearing Eye Pencil Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild Fergie On Edge Long Wearing Eyeliner

Wet n Wild Fergie On Edge Long Wearing Eye Pencil ($3.49) are a new creamy gel eyeliner available in six shades that will be a permanent part of the Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection for Spring 2014.

I picked up a single shade of Wet n Wild On Edge Long Wearing Eye Pencil in Space Cake (matte brown) recently at Walgreens so here are some thoughts for ya!

Wet n Wild Fergie On Edge Long Wearing Eye Pencil has its up and its downs but for the most part under $4 I’d say this is a win if you’re strapped for cash and on a low calorie beauty budget.

This is a generously sized 0.4 oz traditional kohl pencil that does require sharpening when the point goes dull. The formula is a creamy gel that glides on easily with a nice creamy consistency which smudges out perfectly and applies without tugging or skipping! On my drier eyes it doesn’t smear nor does it flake and wears for a solid eight hours. It’s quite nicely pigmented with a rich color pay off and a matte finish.

Now the thing I didn’t love about it….I really can’t use it on my waterline. It applies beautifully on my lash line has a nice creamy consistency no dryness to speak of but for some reason it just won’t apply on my waterline. Color barely shows up sadly! This isn’t to big a deal for the price but it would likely be near perfect as a budget eyeliner if it did apply as flawlessly on my waterline as it does on my lash line.

Oh well!

What do you want for under four bucks right?

If you’re strapped for cash this is a budget friendly eyeliner that wears well with a nice creamy formula just don’t rely on it for waterline usage as in that cases it kinda disappoints!

Available now at drugstores.

Hmmm you had me until the waterline issue. I have really watery eyes so I’m curious how these will work for me. I’ll grab one just to test it. They look so much like UD pencils I hope its an alternative lol

    • Isabella Muse

if you have watery eyes it likely won’t apply well, I have dry eyes and the waterline it just produced no color which really disappointed as the formula is nice and creamy.

    • Courtney

I use it on my waterline and it comes on thick and stays for as long as 5 hours without having to reapply

There are lots of eyeliners out there, of the same price range as this, so find the best ones. =)

Do you sharpen this with a regular eye pencil sharpener? The point doesn’t look like a pencil with the black tip.

    • Flor

Yes you use regular sharpener. When I first saw it I thought about this too, the only difference is that the material is thicker.

      • Katie

How in the world do you get more to come out? Am I missing something here? I’ve twisted pushed, pulled, … everything I can think of. I can’t make anymore eyeliner come out. Help!

          • Kelly

I, too, cannot figure out how to advance the eyeliner! How do you get more eyeliner to come out?!

          • Mikel

I’m glad I’m not the only one who cannot figure out how to advance the point. No where on the Internet can I find the answer or a direct web site for Wet n Wild. 🙁

          • Isabella Muse

just sharpen it with an eyeliner sharpener…it’s a pencil eyeliner you can just sharpen the point back to it’s original shape.

  • Mikel

That’s OK if you can get the eyeliner extended. Mine won’t advance!

    • Isabella Muse

all you have to do is sharpen it back to a point…even if the point breaks off just put it into a sharpener and sharpen back to a point.

    • Alex

I FELT LIKE SUCH AN IDIOOTTT. It looks like it’s SUPPOSED to advance but just pop it in your liner sharpener and it’ll advance. The liner looks like it’s made of plastic but it has a tiny liner of plastic that shaves off with the pencil underneath it. I’m so glad I found this. Because I couldn’t figure this out either. I thought… well… it was a dollar… so maybe this is all you get? Nope! No worries! It sharpens and you can use the whole pencil. I was SO mad because I actually liked this liner. But no more! I’m so glad I looked it up before throwing it away!

  • Mikel

I’ll try it … does the sharpener extend the liner? Maybe my thumbs aren’t strong enough to extend it when I turn that “collar”. Thanks.

    • Isabella Muse

it’s going to shave down and create a point. Good luck!

  • Linda

I think what is throwing people off is the eyeliner casing looks plastic and it leads people to believe it will extend automatically. It does indeed sharpen with a standard eye pencil sharpener.

      • Judy

The pencil is too thick to sharpen. Is it suppose to sharpen down like a pencil and get smaller.
I had a hard time shapening it it. Need a video.

  • Nancy Kereluik

I so agree with all the people with the sharpening problem. I literally have thrown out 3 liners because I could not sharpen them. Its very frustrating. I also bought a new eyeliner (Cover Girl) to try and sharpen, neither size works on this liner. I really love this liner but come on make it easier!!!!!

  • Betsy Hunter

So…..you can’t roll it up when it wears down a bit. The price is not so good if it’s only good for a handful of uses.

Again – it “does not” roll up!

  • Riki

How do you sharpen the Wet n Wild on edge long lasting eye pencil?
