Benefit Big Easy Multi Balancing Complexion Perfector

For the girls and guys wanting a little lightweight coverage this Spring may I present the new Benefit Big Easy Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector ($38).

Available in six shade selections Benefit’s new Big Easy Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector is one of those products that takes your already good skin and makes it better. Not quite a BB Cream and definitely not a foundation this lightweight product perfects skin while protecting it with an SPF 35 and a formula that balances moisture and oil!

Benefit Big Easy Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector

Products like Benefit Big Easy Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector are what makes me love the brand so much. This is simplicity at its very best!

At a glance Benefit Big Easy Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector scared me as there are talks of a liquid to powder finish and an oil controlling formula….already my dry skin is shaking in its boots!

But apparently this new foundation product balances the best of both worlds. It has a rich creamy texture with a slight fluffiness to it that absorbs easily into skin. It evens out skin tone with a sheer layer of color while brightening my complexion and easing dullness. The lightweight finish is satiny and smooth and doesn’t adhere to my drier area yet keeps the shine away from my T-Zone where from time to time you’ll see a bit of oiliness on a warmer day. Apparently it self adjusts to your exact skin tone. I tried three shades and I must say both the Light (02) and Medium (04) respectively darkened slightly and lightened a bit where I needed it. The wear time is around five hours before I saw some fading and at around hour six I felt I needed a touch up.

There are a few things I love about products like this….

First off the keyword here is natural. This takes already good skin and creates a more even, uniformed finish that’s brighter and healthier looking. If you suffer from issues like dullness but don’t have acne, blemishes, redness, or major issues to conceal you’ll enjoy the lightweight texture and coverage this provides.

Secondly, the lighter texture makes it a great pick when the warmer Spring and Summer weather arrives and the addition of an SPF 35 is great as well (however, I suggest using sunscreen under it none the less).

Thirdly, the simplicity of products like this during application and just the general wear. This is really no nonsense beauty. You don’t need to be a chemist to get your foundation on right. Swipe on, blend out, and you’re good to go.

Overall, Benefit Big Easy Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector is an excellent little perfector as per the name. This isn’t full on coverage but just a way to refreshen up your already good skin and make it great. A little coverage, a hint of moisture for drier skin, some mattifying for oily skin, Benefit takes on lightweight coverage and makes it easy!

Likey!

Thanks. Ordered my sample! Where’s the mused approved icon on the post or is it just shy of earning that title?

Let me know what you think Julie! it is Muse Approved 🙂 icon is the bottom of the post and I mentioned it was Muse Approved as well 😀

Thanks for reviewing! How would you say this compares in coverage to the tarte bb primer and the nars radiant moisturizer?

  • Sarah

Was totally ready to run out and grab this… But like half of the beauty products I look forward to, this one will have to be left alone. Contains bismuth…totally allergic. Some stuff is easier to pass up, but I was really looking forward to trying this one. 🙁 Either way – thanks for your great review Muse!

    • Isabella Muse

bismuth is typically awful for me too but thankfully no issues here PHEW! my pleasure Sarah and so sorry about the bismuth sigh 🙁

  • Let

Nooo why the high SPF? I don’t think I could wear this 🙁
Do you know how long the samples will be available for on the website?

I’m wondering if the light is too yellow, and if the medium is too dark (although it looks very neutral)… This is definitely a product I need to swatch in-store.

This is going to be a huge hit! Do you think light is good match for nc20? Thanks!

  • Christina

I got my tube of this last week and have been using it pretty much every day. I love the coverage and the color (light) works well on my skin tone.

  • Alicia

I have been waiting to see a review of this! So happy you posted one. I have been using Dr. Jart BB cream for my lighter option vs. foundation and am running out. Think I might give this a try next.

  • Renu

This is the review I have been waiting for – thank you, Muse! I may have to swatch the shades though; medium looks too light for me, and deep too deep for me 🙁

  • Dani

Have you tried theBalms Balm Shelter? I’m looking for a nice BB cream but that one is slightly cheaper.

  • Cj

Words can not describe how much I love this. I’ve been using only powder foundations for the last 4 or 5 months, none of the new liquid or cream foundations caught my interest. But this. LIQUID GOLD! It’s the perfect “US” BB cream. Not as much coverage as the Asian ones but it totally evens out my skin, gives me a nice glow while drying completely in seconds. I think it has a little bit of silicone in it too so it works double time. Replaced bobbi browns bb as my favorite 😛

I like the lighter coverage as well! It’s just enough to brighten and even out skin tone but not to make itself known on my face ;-D

  • Karen

How do you compare this to Estee’s Invisible Fluid Foundation? My problem is dullness mostly and I was looking for a product that can help me remedy that. I love Invisible Fluid too but there are days that even in makeup I feel that makeup is dull. Also any solution for combating dullness?

  • Makeup Gee

I really tried to love it but it does not work for me at all. Probably oily skins will love.

  • sarah

they match me up to dark one and am like a nc20 in mac I hate this one I try it did not work was to cake made me brake out does not cover my spots:( if u have oily skin it will work great on u

Hey! Thank you for the review . I can’t wait to try this product out .
I’ve been using the Bobbi brown tinted moisturiser in medium.
As this particular product is not available in india I am going to try and order it online .
What do you think is the closest shade to
Bobbi brown medium? I have no way of trying it out here Bc it isn’t available here.
If you could advice me i would appreciate it.
    Thank you!
