Bobbi Brown Hibiscus Pot Rouge spring 2014

I’m positive the new Bobbi Brown Hibiscus Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks is full of magic. Or maybe just full of Spring and Spring Break and Cancun and tropical island goodness!

Bobbi Brown Hibiscus Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks is a brand new, limited edition shade that launched with the Bobbi Brown Nectar & Nude Collection for Spring 2014.

This bright and fiery shade of coral needs to come home with you ASAP.

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks is a multitasking divas dream cream product for use on lips and cheeks. The gorgeous creamy yet emollient texture has always been one of my favorite’s in the cream blush world, that’s saying a lot since I don’t favor cream blushes all that much. I’ve always found Bobbi’s formula has that certain bit of tack that allows the blush to wear long and strong without fading the way cream blushes normally do on my skin.

Plus it always blends out to a picture perfect flawless finish!

Bobbi Brown Hibiscus Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks makes a brief appearance for Spring, we might need a back up here, so grab it now while the grabbing is good. This is a strong orange-y coral that will work on a good range and variety of skin tones as a sheer wash of peachy color (as worn by yours truly below) or more of a popping shade of vibrant orange-y coral on cheeks and lips! No matter if you go full force with it or sheer this is a color that lends a fresh breath of tropical color to your face and your mouth.

How does it feel on the lips, Muse? Thank you for reviewing! First time commenter but been following you for years!

mary I don’t really like them on lips to be honest…! they always feel a bit dry to me without gloss so I typically avoid lip application, hope this helps!? thanks for following for so long 🙂 <3!

Muse, will you be reviewing any of the lipglosses from this new collection? I went to my nordstrom today to check them out but they did not have them yet.

I LOVE this. I’m getting it asap! I think coral looks lovely on you and I have been loving bright colors this time around. I sorta strayed away from it last year. 🙂 I’m sorta intimidated by the ladies at my local dept. store BB counter. They aren’t very friendly and sorta just want you to be in and out, which is tough for someone like me who thinks over what they are buying ten times before getting it and like to hear other’s insights. My friends aren’t really into makeup, so I appreciate an interactive MUA.

aw thank you! Go for it! 20% too today! 🙂 awww I understand! I really hate some counters :-/

Wow, you are making me fall for this coral. I am a redhead and this color seems great. Maybe the orange will bring out vibrancy in my hair? I am in an experimenting phase! How emollient is this on the lips? Mine are dry and flaky so I have a tough time with non- glosses.

I don’t really them on my lips, they feel kinda stiff and not so emollient unfortunately but on cheeks they are lovely ;-D might be a bit bright on face though for red hair as it does have a strong orange base!

Can you get an ingredient listing up? I’ve tried contacting BB three times, three different ways and they seem unable to provide that. I need to know if there’s anything lanolin or castor oil related in it!

    Thanks!

Ooh love this and I am off to Cancun during Spring break too! It would be rude not to 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

mmm it could. especially if you have stronger pink undertones. I’m a medium fair and it pulls a bit orange on me if I apply too much. If you used a fibre brush to apply you could possibly sheer it down to a nice subtle peach!

  • phoebe

i must agree with you, muse, i don’t like applying it on my lips because it makes them look dryer than it actually is! it looks beautiful on you, and that’s a good enough reason for me to grab one! 😀

    • Isabella Muse

aw thanks chica! Yeah totally agree! a little gloss helps but I prefer on my cheeks!
