Butter London English Rose Wink Cream Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
Butter London English Rose Wink Cream Eyeshadow is one of four new shades that launched with the Boho Rock Wink Eye Shadow Collection for Spring 2014.
You may recall I reviewed the shade Treacle earlier in the month and at the time I happened to purchase English Rose with it.
Let’s take a look!
Treacle was more of a disappointing color wash eyeshadow for me and I felt like it was very, very sheer but Butter London English Rose Wink Cream Eyeshadow proves these shades are buildable and can pack pigment!
Butter London English Rose Wink Cream Eyeshadow is a beautiful metallic rose in the tube but on eyes it has more of a dusky, dirty rose finish. The color has a high sheen and gives the appearance of a wash versus an cream eyeshadow right down to the formula which has a slicker feel. It’s a very pretty color and doesn’t disappoint as much as Treacle did which applied quite sheerer.
This has a thicker, creamy consistent with a slicker texture. The formula blends out super smoothly and doesn’t sheer out as much as Treacle did. It also builds quite well but does have a ultra quick dry down compared to Treacle. Overall, the performance and formula was far better than my experience with Treacle. The wear time is considerably better too with a solid five hours of wear without creasing and showing minor fading into hour six.
Although a Spring release the shade is warmer and can be warn throughout most seasons. If you favorite a warm, rosy lid you’ll enjoy Butter London English Rose Wink Cream Eyeshadow.
It’s available now at Ulta and Ulta.com.
