Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base Review & Swatches
Far be it for me to rave a liquid highlighting but currently Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in Champagne (02) is currently on my hit list.
Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base is available in two shades this Spring 2014 and launched with the new Clarins Opalescence Collection. This liquid radiance boosting bases had me a little wary at first but…
Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base is available in Rose which brightens and Champagne which corrects redness. These are liquid highlighters that have a moisturizing formula which promise an illuminating effect to brighten skin.
Ok, halt….
Illuminating…nooooo! I’m always scared of liquid highlighters because as pretty as they are I’m scared of the glitter, shimmery finish. I tend to overdo things with products like this.
But much to my delight Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base actually has very little shimmer or glitter and only a very soft pearlescent. The fact you can use them all over your face as a primer of sorts surprised me as I expected to use them on target areas such as the high brow area or perhaps upper cheek bones but they can indeed be used to prep with. Or you can mix them with your foundation or use them to contour.
My personal favorite shade is Champagne which I use to brighten my eye area up. I simply apply a small amount on my upper cheek bones, right below my where the hallow of my eyes begins. This brightens and lifts the area creating a contoured, wide awake appearance! Champagne also has a beautiful brightening effect all over skin as well!
Champagne
Rose
The texture is a runny consistency but blends out flawlessly on skin. The formula has a soft, fresh rose-like scent that’s very pleasant and not overwhelming.
Honestly, I can’t believe I’m saying this but Muse Approval on these. I really like the brighten effect! They ease dullness and they brighten up the eye area beautifully! Forget everything you know about traditional liquid highlighters and embrace Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base.
Loves this!
