MAC Prep Prime CC Colour Correcting Loose Powder Review & Swatches
MAC Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting Loose Powder is rather awesome! MAC launched four shades of their new CC Colour Correcting Loose Powder to pair up with their new CC Colour Correcting Facial Primer should you like…or perhaps you don’t love creams and in that case you can take advantage of these new loose powders to correct skin issues such as dullness and redness.
Take a peek!
MAC Prep Prime CC Colour Correcting Loose Powder ($24) is available in four shades:
- Adjust (peach beige)
- Neutralize (yellow)
- Illuminate (lavender)
- Recharge (apricot)
These silica powders have a super silky to the touch texture that absorb excess oil, blur the appearance of fine lines and pores, and a tint of your choosing offer correcting benefits.
Neutralize is an excellent pick for issues with redness as it neutralizes the appearance of redness and gives skin a smoother, perfected finish. You can also use it to set concealer and diffuse the appearance of dark circles by swiping under eyes as well!
Adjust is a lovely shade of beige that can act as a setting powder or you can use it as a lighter foundation powder for a lovely brightening effect and a my skin but better finish. This shade fits my skin tone perfectly and works great as a little light coverage.
Illuminate is a great shade for those that suffer from dullness or tired skin. This is a soft lavender shade that brightens skin up but doesn’t leave it pasty or chalky.
And finally Recharge adds warmth to medium or darker skin tones. I actually don’t love Recharge since it does have a very strong orange to it. It might work as a contour powder of sorts and although not terribly pigmented it does leave a bit of an orange cast behind when applied.
Adjust, Neutralize, and Illuminate are shades well worth exploring! The texture of each is beautiful and ensures you not only get the benefits of a soft, silky silica powder to set makeup for long wear but you also get color correcting benefits as well! All three gain my Muse Approval (I’d skip on Recharge though if I were you!).
