Maybelline Bare It Buff Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Maybelline Bare It Buff Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow Palette is one of three new limited edition eyeshadow quads releases with the Maybelline Dare to Go Nude Collection for Spring 2014.
Since it has been a while since we got a new Maybelline Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow Palette it’s nice to see they aren’t forgotten!
Maybelline Bare It Buff Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow Palette is possibly the softest, sheerest quad of the three. I’ve always been a fond fan of the formula on these Eyeshadow Palettes and have even likened them to Asian Eyeshadow formulas in the past! Bare It Buff is just as wonderfully formulated as past shades but with a small twist as these shades are a bit sheerer and less shimmery than colors released in the past and available in the permanent collection.
The palette features four shades of eyeshadow one of which acts as a base with two contrasting eyeshadow shades and one darker liner color. Bare It Buff is very, very sheer but has a super soft, silky formula that applies and blends beautifully with some minor fall out. The two main shadow sheers have a satin shimmer-free formula where as the base and liner has a little bit of finer shimmer.
These are fitting with the Dare to Go Nude theme as they are soft, delicate colors that create a lovely nude eye look with a hint of brown liner. The colors will act as a very nice base should you like to multitask with them and on their own they create a wide, awake brightened look on eyes.
I think the sheerness will prove disappointing for many but I find it a refreshing change from the original collection of quads which feature more pigment and WAY more shimmer.
If you favorite soft delicate pinks, barely there bare, and white I think you’ll do just fine with Maybelline Bare It Buff Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow Palette.
