Maybelline Nude Compliment Color Tattoo Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

Maybelline Nude Compliment Color Tattoo Eyeshadow

Heads up my dears Maybelline is going taupe mad this Spring! Maybelline Nude Compliment Color Tattoo Eyeshadow is one of several brand new shades launched with the Maybelline Dare to Go Nude Spring 2014 Collection and happens to be one of two taupes in the collection!

So if you love sultry, sexy shades of Taupe I’m sure you’ll want it!

From my understanding these new Spring 2014 Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadows shades are here to stay! I don’t have confirmation from the brand but everything released with the Dare to Go Nude Collection is marked as limited edition where as the Color Tattoo Eyeshadows are not. So here’s to hopping!

Maybelline Nude Compliment Color Tattoo Eyeshadow is a smoky shade of traditional taupe with a grayish base. Where as Sleek & Spice, another shade I recently reviewed from this collection, has more of a brown base I think that Nude Compliment leans more on gray and comes across as a more smoky taupe. I actually kinda liken the shade to the effects I achieve when using the the Bare Minerals Power Neutrals Palette.

I actually don’t really love taupe but I got on well with Nude Compliment.

Unlike the absolute horrid formula of the Summer 2014 shades, Maybelline has thankfully returned to their roots with the formula on these new shades. They are dense and creamy like the permanent shades with a certain slickness that makes blending easy. Nude Compliment has an almost metallic sheen when set and doesn’t crease or fade on my drier eyes for a solid eight hours.

Overall, it seems that Maybelline has some really winners in this round up of new shades that are very worth a pick up!

I was just thinking of pulling out my old ones! The ones from the original release were so good. I’ll have to check out the new shades! I’m a little about the summer ones now though

Stunning! Bold yet beautiful but still not so bold that it’s a bit soft spoken. I find it edgy but classy. 🙂

Can I have yours!? No where by me has this collection yet ;(

Nude Compliment may be my favorite of the 4 I picked up. It’s just such a soft, wearable color!

Hi the Muse! Great review, as always! -:)
I just wanted to point out to a small mistyped thingy: you mentioned the 2014 Summer Collection, but the link takes us to the 2013 Collection… Just so that you can correct that… no big deal for us though… -;)
