NARS Final Cut Blush

NARS Final Cut Blush is one of four new limited edition shades of blushes that launched for with the NARS Final Cut Collection that’s available exclusively at Nordstrom.com for Spring 2014.

Let’s take a look!

NARS Final Cut Blush ($30) a warmer orange blush. I typically love shades like this but I consider the color a dirty peachy…I don’t really like it in all honesty due to the warmer orange to it. I love me some peach, I love me some coral, but orange kinda drowns on and dulls my complexion.

The formula was excellent on this blush. It’s finely milled with a very soft texture that applies easily onto cheeks but doesn’t have a strong color pay off more of a natural flush. It blends easily and is an easy to apply blush shade without being overwhelmed with too much pigment. The finish is a soft satin that doesn’t cling to drier areas and likely won’t emphasize larger pores. It wore for a good six hours on me before losing some intensity.

Final Cut, Love, New Attitude

I will say the color isn’t terribly unique. NARS had the potential to introduce some unique shades with the Final Cut Collection and the fact they settled on such a dull shade of orange kinda disappointed me. I think new shades of NARS Blush is always a cause for great excitement and this season seems the season of the blush with exciting releases from Hourglass and Clinique however, it seems that Clinique Cheek Pop Blush is really the winner this year as both NARS and Hourglass disappoint this far.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Beautiful! Great colors, and no shimmer def a plus! Hardly ever use the Orgasm shade because I find its hard to blend.

obsessed lately with Matte blushes. I think I will be going for the Milani thought. I have so much makeup and I think it will be easier to weed through my stash and donate things/give away if it was not too pricey. (Look at me looking for a rationalization as to why I wont part with my makeup…it was too expensive when in reality I probably am a makeup hoarder lol)

I actually like the look of it! I might have to switch up my blush color now; been using Nars Torrid for years and this looks similar, but softer.

My real reason for commenting, though, is what lipstick are you wearing???
