NARS Final Cut Blush Swatches

NARS Final Cut Blush Spring 2014

NARS Love, New Attitude, and Final Cut are three out of four new blush shades launched with the NARS Final Cut Spring 2014 Nordstrom Exclusive Collection.

Being a rather massive fan of NARS Blush I hauled four of these shades but ended up returning one as it was a bit too pale for my liking!

Here’s a few swatches of the shades I did keep!

I’ll be following up with a review shortly on these but so far they seem promising. These are smooth, satin finish blushes with no sparkle or shimmer of any kind. They range in color from playful, like New Attitude, to a bit more serious, like Love.

I think New Attitude stands out as the most unique of the three as this is a lovely, perky pink color! The lack of shimmer and sparkle will draw in quite a few fans I’m sure as these are all smooth satiny goodness.

I haven’t tried them on as of yet but what I’ve swatched I like!

I ended up buying Sex Fantasy and LOVE it…pink with a touch of lilac undertones; don’t think i can compare it to any other blush I’ve seen. I find I only need a light hand with this blush (and I have olive skin) and it stays put all day. love, love, LOVE it!

Happy Monday, Sista Muse! A bit off topic but I was wondering if you plan on reviewing/swatching the Nars Narcissist palette. It looks absolutely lovely but the so-so reviews (Christine at Temptalia gave it an overall “B”) and $79 price tag have me hesitating. Your professional opinion either way would hold sway…with tremendous power comes tremendous responsibility!

LOL sis you know I’m no professional right but I sure do feel spesh when you say that :-D I swatched it in store actually and thought it was a bit dry for $79! So I ended up skipping it..there’s been a 50/50 review on it from readers/blogs..some say HELLS yes and others say big no…I thought the texture wasn’t so fab to dish out the $80 so I skipped! I know this doesn’t completely help!? but hopefully gives you a little nudge in the save your money department :)

Actually, coming from you, that really does help. The price is outrageous for 50/50 odds.

BTW here we go again…Maybelline has six new LE color tattoos — 5 neutrals and a black — for spring. Sigh. Off to Harmon’s at lunch. Wish me luck!

I have a convention I’m headed to this weekend so that leaves the weekend out OHHHH NOOOO ;-D damn! :-D aw thanks, I’m glad it helped…I swatched it and I was kinda like, meh…do I really need a dry palette when I can be spending $$ on something with a better formula?!

I’m a blush junkie and NARS is my favorite makeup brand. So I hauled. I got 3 shades, the only missing is Love. When I swatched it in store, I wasn’t wowed. Should I buy it ? I have Tarte Exposed and NARS Madly, which seem similar. I was scared that Sex Fantasy would be too light, but it’s not ! And I think I’m gonna get a backup of New attitude.

I was so excited for these, i ordered love and new attitude but unfortunately returned both. Love was really pretty on but i didn’t feel it was enough to keep. And new attitude i was really excited for in the pan, but it was so light on! and im a light complexion lol

Love the swatches but I’m heart broken you returned Sex Fantasy! That’s the only one I got and felt it translated more pink than lilac. Oh well, it’s my new favorite now since I broke my Nars Gaiety and wasn’t able to save it. :(

It worked and it didn’t work. It adhered everything nicely back together however I think the true hue of the blush was compromised during the wet/dry process. Instead of gaiety it now resembles more of the hue like desire and swatches darker pink than before…. le sigh… On another note I happened upon a psychians formula ph self adjust blush for 75% off 12.95 at rite aid with a 3.00 off coupon so I paid a whopping .25 cents for it. and it’s a nice neutral shade that helped lessen the blow of loosing such a beloved blush… I wonder with Sephora having such a generous return policy if I called and said I broke my blush if they’d replace it? I can wish right?
