Age Defying Classic Eye Gel is something that’s become apart of my daily staple products.

Recently I started using a retinol eye cream which I regret because it really dried my eye area out and also made my finer lines even more prominent than they were.

I decided I wanted to add something to my regime that was light, cool, and refreshing to prep my eyes and that’s where Olay Age Defying Classic Eye Gel ($9.49) came into play for me.

Take a look!

Typically my eyes are rather puffy when I wake up in the morning so after my shower I take the first thing I do is apply a little of this under my eyes. It’s a simple clear gel with a slightly slippery texture that absorbs easily. It has a cool tingle when I apply it this could be because it contains witch hazel. It seems to do a rather nice job depuffing for me as well as providing some nice moisture in preparation for my other eye cream.

I like it because it acts as a cool compress for my eyes. I apply it, pat into place, and as I dress I allow it to dry down and follow up with another eye cream for more moisture. It doesn’t tug during application, it seems to ease my finer, drier lines, and plumps the area up slightly.

I liked this, a lot.

I’d recommend it for those with younger eyes who need something to give them that 8 hour of sleep look when they are only working on 4. It’s great for older eyes that have puffy issues first thing in the AM and who need something to prep and add moisture to the area in preparation for something richer.

It’s available now at drugstores.

Tried it?

My eyes are always puffy and look tired plus the gel just looks cool. I need to pick this up!

I’ve lots of good reviews in magazines about this one! I read that it is super affordable too like $12?! Being a younger gal myself, I’m religious about applying eye cream, I have allergies, and the eye area ages the quickest.
I like any gel consistency moisturizer and eye cream, and anything cool and refreshing is an added bonus!

I have this and find that it gets pretty sticky for quite a while until it dries completely, and I don’t find that it’s very moisturizing (which I guess is to be expected with a gel).

I’ve been looking for an eye cream for awhile, and I may have to try this one out. I’m having a baby in April. So I am definitely going to need something that will make it look like I got 8 hours of sleep. Gonna pick this up and try it out for sure.

How does it feel on the skin after it dries? I’ve tried some eye gels that have a weird sticky feel after patting it under the eyes. Is this more of a satiny feel? Thanks! 🙂

i don’t get the stickiness to be honest…it doesn’t have a satin feel but more a dewy soft finish.

I’ve used this on and off for a long time.. the same way you do, before applying a hydrating cream. I keep it in the fridge and forget about it until I go to throw out some old mustard or grapes turned raisins – hehe – then I start using it again. Anyways good stuff, nothing special, just does what it should.
