Olay Total Effect Line & Dark Circle Minimizing Brush

Recently, Total Effect Line & Dark Circle Minimizing Brush has relaunched with a new CC Eye Color Correcting packaging. It’s actually the same formula of the original Total Effect Line & Dark Circle Minimizing Brush however, now it is marketed as a skin perfector and correction to reduce darkness under eyes.

Mmmmm it’s kinda like when Covergirl Tinted Moisturizer suddenly became Covergirl BB Cream. It’s about the trend my dears and in this case Olay seen an opening to re-market a product that already works for them as a color correcting product of sorts.

Take a look!

Olay Total Effect Line & Dark Circle Minimizing Brush3

Olay Total Effect Line & Dark Circle Minimizing Brush is a daily tinted moisturizing for swiping under eye to reduce the appearance of dark circles and fine lines. It comes in a chunky click to release pen with an attached brush for application. The brush is a larger size which makes apply and blending under eyes easy and mess free due to the flat and generously sized bristles.

Technically the formula isn’t going to treat your dark circles but it will brighten the area up every so slightly but not nearly as well as a concealer would. However, if you have drier eyes, heavy lines, and crepiness chances are you might experience problems with more pigmented, heavier concealer and in that case you might find this lighter consistency a bit more forgiving. However, the lack of pigment also disappoints as it isn’t really covering much merely diffusing the look of dark circles. In my case, I have finer lines, puffiness, and tired eyes and I don’t really see much difference when using this unfortunately. I need more coverage!

It does contain some excellent ingredients though like vitamin E and niacinamide.

If you don’t have a lot of issues going on under your eyes this might be a nice way to gain a bit of moisture and a slight brightening effect but if you do have problems, well, this isn’t a cure all. Proper concealer and a good eye cream might be suitable for you.

This is available now at drugstores.

Oh, mama want!!! I wonder how it’ll look on someone who’s tone is honey beige. The swatch looks kind of peachy.
