Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer1

YOU MUST try Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer ($34)! Totally loving this new primer from Tarte and tomorrow you can grab it at a deal the Tarte Color Your World 7 Piece Collection launches at the QVC Today’s Special Value launches.

Of course, it’s totally available all its in in five shades for $34 each but with the Tarte Color Your World 7 Piece Collection you can grab it along with other full size Tarte goodies for $59.96.

Let’s take a look Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer.

Tarte Colored Clay CC Facial Primer

Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer is a new stick complexion facial primer kinda like Benefit’s new Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer in terms of its innovation packaging but the formula, the formula is totally different.

Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer is a chunky swivel up stick that contains color correcting Amazonian Color Clay to prep skin for makeup OR you can use it on your own as light, flawless coverage.

I happen to be a big fan of the your skin but better look. I don’t like a lot of foundation and thankfully I don’t need it. My biggest complain with my skin is dryness and dullness so I’m looking for something that’s light and brightening and this fits the bill under my favorite foundation or as my foundation. Simply smooth it on, blend it out, and the creamy drier formula sets to a matte finish that doesn’t accentuate my patchy dry areas. It’s smooth, soft, and provides a perfect flawless appearance. Now I can apply my blush and go or if I want extra coverage I can apply a little smidge of my BB Cream on top. I was a little worried about the matte finish here because my skin is just awfully dry lately but the finish on this is very smooth.

Light Swatched Above

This brightens my dull skin and creates a very even, flawless finish. The stick contains a single dominate shade of tint in from Fair to Deep depending on the shade you choose. Entwined with that tint are two color correcting shades of green and lilac. Lilac acts to brighten and the lighter green counteracts redness. The color correcting pigments are very light and they mix in with the main color of the stick so they aren’t terribly noticeable when you apply. I don’t suffer from redness but I know for a fact the lilac works beautifully to brighten skin and ease dullness.

I’ve actually used this as my foundation because it does exactly what I need it to. It corrects my skin tone by brightening and evening out skin tone and offers lightweight coverage that wears for six hours. Today I opted to use it as a primer and I love how it sets a brighter appearance and preps my skin for makeup. It’ll reduce shine if you’re oily, blur the appearance of pores, and if you suffer from redness it’ll ease that slightly prior to your foundation application.

Overall, I adore Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer! I really like what this does for my skin with it without foundation. The brightening ability alone makes it a brilliant little purchase.

This one is well worth picking up!

Grab it all its own at Sephora and Sephora.com or grab it tomorrow when Tarte debuts their Color Your World 7 Piece Collection on QVC.com.

I tested this out in Fair this weekend and wore it from 8:30 am until 11pm at night (I did set it with NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder) and didn’t need to touch up all day. I was impressed and happy with it.

I thought you would review this so I attempted to hold out purchasing until I saw your review (but failed, because I had 20% off at Ulta). I love this! I know you don’t have a visible pores issue but I do, and I find this blurs them to near invisibility! Love this stuff 🙂
