the Balm How Bout Them Apples Cheek & Lip Cream Palette37

the Balm How ‘Bout Them Apples? Cheek & Lip Cream Palette ($32) tops the charts as one of my favorite blush palettes of the Spring season. This arrives just in time for the warmer weather and brings together six fabulously multitasking blushes that can be used on cheeks as well as lips.

You NEED it.

the Balm How ‘Bout Them Apples? Cheek & Lip Palette likely won’t be available during today’s 50% Off Sale! Sadness! But it is launching soon according to our friends at the Balm so keep your eyes peeled for the release.

Far be it for me to rave cream blush as I’m more a powder girl but lord knows they did a fabulous job with this palette. You’re probably more than familiar with the Cheek & Lip Cream formula because it has been featured in popular palettes like Balm Jovi, The Muppets, and the more recent Balm Voyage Palette.

But you should probably prepare yourself as they changed the formula slightly in my opinion….!

These six blushes are thinner and softer in texture and they have a more moist feel on lips versus the old formula that was more dense less emollient and a bit drying on lips. Needless to say this new formulation is a good thing!

These have an softer emollient feel and apply, blend, and wear beautifully. Pigment is sheer to medium with plenty of options for building. Colors are vibrant, fresh, beautiful, and natural with a slightly dewy finish that wears for a solid six to seven hours without fading. On cheeks they look incredibly natural and flawless no matter how much you apply. On lips they are the most moisturizing of products but they feel comfortably lightweight and give a pretty flush of color! I wouldn’t say they stain when they wear away but they do wear for about three to four hours before fading.

I really like having a simple blush palettes like this around! I loved the Sonia Kashuk Kiss on the Cheek Lip and Cheek Palette and this is even better in my humblest! It’s a great and easy way to get beautiful color on cheeks quickly and easily!

Hi Muse, just wondering how large this palette is.. is it the size of your hand or smaller/larger? Thanks!

    • Isabella Muse

I guess about 6 inches in length and about 5 inches wide 0.7 oz total size of blushes…my hand can cover it laid flat down, fingers up.

  • Steffi

Darling, what are the chances that you can post a pic of ingredients or let me know if beeswax is one? Cuz this set is darling but beeswax makes me break out (weird I know)!

    • Isabella Muse

sorry steffi I don’t have the palette on hand to take a pic of at the moment I believe the main ingred is castor seed oil.

This is really cute. How does the formula compare to Stila’s Convertible Colors? I use 2 from the Travel Palettes (Moscow & Aspen) as my cream blush all the time, but I’m looking for more options color & formula wise.

    • Isabella Muse

a bit more emollient auro, less dense, color on the CC’s wears longer though in my experience with the two!

  • Molly

I was able to get this 50% off! Woo hoooo! Thanks for the heas up, Muse!!! 🙂

  • lyn

Oh my, these look lovely! I’m such a sucker for theBalm too but I don’t usually wear cream blushes so I’ll probably give this a miss for now.

  • Majick

Well, I’ll just say that the packaging made me a little hungry for some CRISP CIDER and a huge slice if PIE! 😈

  • Vitrie

this is lovely. i’ m looking for a lip palette right now and this probably one of the things i’ ll keep on my radar. Thanks, Muse ! 🙂

  • Maryann

Love this! I just ordered it online! What brush did you use to apply? Thanks so much!

  • Faye

Do any of them have a fragrance or taste? Or do they taste/smell like typical lipstick?

  • Faye

I really want to know if the blushes/lipcreams have a scent/fragrance/taste to them. I’m pretty iffy when it comes to scents, so I would love to know if these have any scent at all, or if they carry your average lipstick scent.

  • Faye

sorry, I thought my first question didn’t come through, so I asked again, but thank you for you reply!

  • Tanya

This is so cute! I only buy blush like once a year anyway, so why not go all out? Plus, I can’t resist food themed beauty products. Thanks for the review, without it I may never have known it existed. 🙂

  • Rebekah

I just picked this up (after reading your review) and I am loving it! These are so gorgeous on! I especially love how cider looks on my VERY pale skin. Thanks so much Muse!

  • Linda

Holy crap these last forever. I’m a powder blush only girl but I got a sample of this in my birchbox and I’m blown away by the wear time. From 7 am to 3 pm then it finally started to fade. Still some staining visible at 6 pm. Buying it!!
