Bare Minerals Goes Liquid

Bare Minerals bare Skin Serum Foundation spring 2014

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Serum Foundation is a new ton correcting liquid mineral foundation and serum all in one. This second skin fluid foundation provides seamless, weightless coverage with a natural, brighter, more youthful finish.

Formulated for all skin types this new tone correcting foundation acts as a base and a skincare serum all in one. Available in ten shades the new Bare Minerals bare Skin Serum Foundation contains an SPF 20 and is formulated with a mineral infusion that helps your skin look brighter.

According to Bare Minerals it has adjustable coverage so one to two drops provides sheer coverage, four provides medium coverage, and six for full.

I’m testing this out this week and will review it for you soon! I’m excited. This is different for Bare Minerals so I’m looking forward to trying it plus the idea of a brightening foundation always grabs me.

It’s available now at QVC.com.

I’ll be curious! I can’t do powder foundations with my skin.

  • AngelicBetrayal

Not gonna lie, that brush is totally stealing the spotlight here! Is this some sort of new flat top variation? The packaging of the foundation looks really similar to some highend foundations… Chanel? Giorgio Armani? Shiseido? I can’t really put my finger on it…. Can’t wait to hear what you think about this!

  • Marty Pauline

Wow, that is surprising, but good now there is a whole range of Bare Mineral foundation options. I want to try but will go to the store for my shade. Thanks Muse

  • Christina

JEALOUS!!! How do you have this already?! QVC pre-orders aren’t shipping until April!

  • Abryda

I pre-ordered mines so it looks like an April ship date & I’m so excited. I’ve been a long time BE user & have always liked the original powder foundation but this will be different & they couldn’t ship it fast enough for me.💞

  • Angel

Yeah, that brush is pretty ingenious. I’m super excited to hear your review. It’s silicone-free which is so hard to come by in liquid foundation. Lots of bad comments under the “reviews” on QVC but I’m personally excited that BE is expanding their line. Mineral and powder foundation do NOT work for everyone. It’s smart of them to expand their line. Plus the ingredients are pretty great for a liquid. They really kept it simple.

    • Isabella Muse

I agree plus I have the worst reaction to be’s mineral foundation and my drier skin just hates so I’m all about liquid :D!

  • Kimberly Turbeville

I was so excited to see you are testing for review! Its been years since ive used a BM product as my dry skin completely stopped playing well with their products. I do feel itll be a great way to add a new fan base as i feel they have been eclipsed in Recent years by other brands who have shaken things up with newer formulations. I’ve already pre ordered two colors of the new serum foundation but I am more excited as we await your review! U always give us such great insight and food for thought on products. I like many others will be anxiously awaiting your always thoughtful review for This bare mineral new product.

  • Sharee

I cant wait to see your review of Bare Skin! Hopefully not much longer?! 😉

  • Lori

Okay, wait a second. A LONG time ago, you said you were testing the Dennis Gross Face Steamer and promised a review. Some of us checked in with you several times, and you still didn’t write a review.

I was really hoping to hear about the Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation, but now I’m wondering if I’ll just keep waiting for a review like that time. Promises, promises? Please post, your readers count on you!

    Best wishes!

    • Isabella Muse

I’ve actually already reviewed this foundation a few weeks ago Lori, hope it helps.

      • Lori

Gosh, I’m so sorry….I searched for it but apparently didn’t do a very good job. Thank you so much for the thorough review. Now I know to wait until they come up with a better version. It sounds a bit like Armani Maestro foundation. Does it compare at all? I originally loved that foundation, but soon realized the effects just didn’t last.

        Best wishes,
        Lori

        • Isabella Muse

no problem Lori glad it helped. Maestro is a nicer formulation with less coverage and a lighter more comfortable feel. I find the Bare Minerals formula clings and doesn’t give that second skin finish one can get from Armani’s version.

Ok I have to jump in here. Lori, comments like yours frustrate me to no end. Bloggers do this for free usually in addition to a normal day job, spending endless hours for something they simply enjoy doing. Your comment is incredibly rude.

      • Angel

I completely agree with Christina. Bloggers do us a service, out of their shared passion and a desire to spread the love regarding new products. One post can take WEEKS to prepare and HOURS to write up. Let me just say, if you can’t find what your looking for, Google is your friend. I love ya Muse!

        • Isabella Muse

love ya back angel and yeah, sometimes posts and pictures etc can take literally hours to complete! It’s def not the easiest thing in the world 😀 but I love you all so much and adore you share my passion and it is fuel for me to work hard!

        Hi Christina,

I see how that came off as rude to you (and likely to others now that I’ve read it back), but that wasn’t my intent at all. The way I stated the matter was abrupt, I see now, but not misguided. I’m very patient, and understand that this is likely a hobby for many bloggers. For your reference, here is the link to the product I was referring to, and the review was promised about 17 months ago. I wouldn’t mind hearing what you think Muse, even now….I think this product will be around awhile and many other readers appreciate your point-of-view too. https://www.musingsofamuse.com/2013/01/new-gadget-alert-on-the-cheap-dr-dennis-gross-skincare-steamer-solutions-facial-device.html

Sometimes things just don’t come out as intended, and I’m not a blogger, otherwise I would have been more careful, and if you’re the Christina from Temptalia, I’m sure that being particularly delicate and tactful is something you learned, and not an inherently perfected skill.

I trust the Muse’s opinions immensely, otherwise I could have turned to any number of other sources for a review. I want THIS opinion, which is why I asked. Bloggers are unique, and I appreciate the different perspectives each one offers.

I’d like to apologize to you, the Muse, and anyone else I may have offended.

        • Isabella Muse

hi again lori, thanks I’m very flattered you trust my reviews! I realize I haven’t yet reviewed the steamer but sometimes things get a little crazy around here especially since I have a full time job and blogging isn’t it. I’ll def try to get to the steamer review shortly. Christina isn’t Christine from Temptalia.
