About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Boots Botanics Colour Adjusting Foundation. I think I’ve found my holy grail foundation. This stuff is amazing.

I bought the new chocolate mint Crest and it’s rather investing, but fun! Also love the new Luscious Lip Smackers, I’ve been using the Pink Grapefruit Sparkler and it’s almost down to the nub. I’ve been using the Girl Scour cookie flavors for couple years now, especially around cookie season. Keeps my waistline out of trouble. I love your blog Muse! Btw, it’s BONNE Bell, not Bonnie. 🙂

sorry multitasking 🙂 typos happen 🙂 wait I looked all it spelled right? *raises a brow and looks confuddled* thanks! so glad you enjoy Musings!

I need those Bonnie Bell chapsticks in my life!! My cheap beauty thrill has been the Herbal Essences cleansing conditioner in the Rose scent. They need to make the scent as a body wash/lotion..I love it so much. Funny enough I’m not a fan of how real roses smell.

I want to try that but I don’t color treat my hair was worried the formula wouldn’t work out for me!

I have the Crest Be Adventurous (choc mint) toothpaste and I LOVE it! The taste reminds me of chocolate Velamints; not the new ones but the old ones (I’ve heard that they don’t taste as good now that they’ve been reformulated with Stevia). 🙂

I just today picked up L’Oreal Infallible Gloss in Sunset and it is gorgeous and also L’Oreal Colour Riche in Nude Ballet and it too is beautiful! Buy one get one half off at Ulta! Am also loving the Wet N Wild singles in Brulee and Nutty. Such great color payoff and staying power for .69 cents each at Walgreens!

Markwins owns Wet n Wild and Black Radiance, (and also Artmatic, The Color Workshop, Tropez, and Physician’s Formula). They all look fairly similar, except for PF. One of these things is not like the other ones… 😀

I haven’t bought anything fun at the drugstore in a while. I’m interested in trying the cleansing conditioner from Pantene. I had no idea that Herbal Essence made one too. Thanks Muse.

    • Isabella Muse

my pleasure! but just a warning grab the herbal essence one, it’s better! Review on the way tonight for the Pantene one, I didn’t like it 🙁

I had intended to tell you about this a few weeks ago, but this post is the perfect opportunity.

Awhile back, I purchased all of the Boots. No. 7 Stay Perfect Smoothing Eyeshadow from drugstore.com (they are also available at Target) and have been trying each one randomly. But I stumbled upon gold with the one called Nude. It is absolutely amazing, as good as any primer I’ve used.

I like to switch it up now and then and use cream eyeshadows as a base instead of primer, and the Boots No. 7 in Nude one not only smooths and primes my lids, but the powder shadows I use on top (I’ve used Too Faced, UD, Lorac) stay in place all day. I experience no creasing and until I remove my eye make-up, it looks fresh.

Just thought I should share this wonderful find which is around $7.99 and often on sale.

    • Isabella Muse

I’m OFF To buy it sis ;-D thanks for the rec if you like I’m sure I will ;-D

  • Christina D.

I’m flattered! I do hope you like it. I should have mentioned that there is no sparkle whatsoever in it. It definitely leans matte on me, maybe a touch “satin-y”. But I love it so much I bought a back up last week. If you can’t find it let me know. I’ll hook you up!

    • Isabella Muse

that’s ok! I don’t mind because I really love nude cream shades like Trish McEvoy’s Eye Base Essentials are my HG….also if you don’t have it seriously try to grab Bobbi Brown Sand Dunes Long Wear Eyeshadow Stick! it’s fab! Great for a naked eye! 😀 Thanks girl!!!!!!! ;-D I’ll check tar-jay today!

  • Melody

I snagged two Wet n Wild Color Icon Glitter singles yesterday at Walgreens on sale for $.69 ea! The light gold was sold out. I grabbed the dark purple and pink. They’re really pretty cool and promise to be some summer fun 🙂

  • Monica

Wet ‘n’ Wild eye shadows are amazing for the price! They last all day on me when I use an eye primer.
