Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blushes

Meet the new Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blush that arrives just in time for Spring with the new Clarins Opalescence Spring 2014. The new cream blush formula is available in four shades and will be a permanent part of Clarin’s Makeup Collection as of this season so no rush to snatch these up.

Take a look!

Clarins Cream Blush

My skin is wrecked at the moment. It went into hibernation a few months ago and hasn’t come out since. Think dry, dull, and lackluster so these new Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blush aren’t exactly the formula for me but I’m positive oily skin users are going to adore them!

Housed in Clarins newer gold mirrored packaging these little blushes weight in at 0.1 oz. The packaging makes me cringe because it is a magnetic for smears and fingerprints etc..plus when using a cream blush especially if you’re one for applying with fingers you’re bound to get the packaging filthy on these. Elegant yes, hard to keep clean, double yes.

The blushes are available in four shades and I do recommend a pick up of the darker colors as they do apply quite sheer. I’d liken the texture the new Make Up For Ever HD Blush Collection as these are thinner, creamy consistency with a very seamless finish that provides a natural flush of color that isn’t or can’t even be over done.

The smoother texture has a powder finish which is why my skin absolutely hates them. Honestly, they don’t adhere to my drier skin but the powder set seems to enhance the dullness of my skin for some reason. Supposedly they do have a blend of rose and sunflower wax to make them moisturizing but once set it’s all about powder which is great if you have oily skin as you get the benefits of an easy to apply cream blush and the longer wear and set of a powder. As with many cream blushes I find they fade on me in a short time. Applied at 5 AM, I’ll see about three to three and a half hours of wear before they start fading at around 8:30ish….I just didn’t look like I had a ton of blush left on my face at the three hour mark.

Clarins says they contain a light optimizing complex to add radiance but I don’t see much of a luminsity from them! If anything my dull skin seems to look even duller once applied. This could be because they are sheerer so I’m not seeing as much color as I’d get from a more pigmented powder blush.

These are a great formula but if you have duller, drier skin you might want something a bit more emollient in terms of cream blush. Oily skin? You’ll love ’em I’m sure! Lightweight, thin yet creamy, and a nice powdery dry down!

These are available now on Clarins counters or grab them online at Nordstrom.com.

Tried them already!?

It’s a shame you don’t like the formulation, because the colors look great on you. Fresh and natural. Perhaps you will like them better in the summer?

I received Grenadine yesterday, haven’t tried it yet. I’ve got oily skin so I’m crossing my fingers these will work for me! Funny how skin chemistry is such a factor, as most cream blushes last a long time on my skin.
