Clarins Tropical Pink & Coral Tulip Joli Rouge Lipstick Review & Swatches
Clarins Coral Tulip and Tropical Pink Joli Rouge Brilliant Lipstick ($27) are two of three new gorgeous shades of lipstick launched with the new, limited edition Clarins Opalescence Spring 2014 Collection.
I absolutely love Clarins Joli Rouge in any format you can give it to me. It’s always so shiny, so packed with color, so gorgeous on lips! I was quite happy they introduced three new colors for the Spring season!
Take a look!
Clarins Coral Tulip and Tropical Pink Joli Rouge Lipstick are two bright, juicy tropical shades of color for Spring. These have a sheerer finish compared to the original Joli Rouge Lipstick formula with a highly shiny finish. Each lipstick comes housed in Clarin’s silver packaging barrel with red accents on the bottom of the tube. Clarins has since updated most of its packaging to a gold casing but I really love the old silver one.
Beware these are a magnetic for fingerprints but perhaps the incredibly buttery formula will keep your mind from it.
I’m a massive fan of Joli Rouge in all its formats. It always has such a delightful formula especially the Brilliant formula which Coral Tulip and Tropical Pink is available in. This gives lips smooth, translucent color with a gel-like texture that has a a soft, slippery glide across lips. It feels quite moisturizing on and wears for around three hours. Pigment is sheerer but still provides plenty of color to add pop to lips. There is no shimmer, glitter, or sparkle to be had here but the high shine of the lipstick gives lips a lovely glistening effect. The lipsticks have a fruity, perfume-y taste and flavor that’s quite pleasant in my experience but may be a bit much for sensitive users.
Tropical Pink and Coral Tulip
Coral Tulip
Tropical Pink
These are a perfect promotion for Spring as they add color and shine in a lightweight formula. The colors are quite flattering and give a tropical vibe to your looks.
Unfortunately both shades look similar in my looks below but I assure you they reflect quite different in sunlight. Coral Tulip stands out as a particularly lovely wearable coral orange for Spring looks where as Tropical Pink is a refreshingly cool reddish pink.
Overall, these are gorgeous colors to embrace Spring with! I know I’m pretty much done for Winter so bring on juicy tropical Spring shades for my lips, I’m ready for them!
