Ettusais Essence Gloss Review & Swatches

Ettusais Essence Gloss

Ettusais Essence Gloss is a new limited edition lipgloss that launched with the Ettusais Princess Red Collection in Japan recently. Essence Gloss is available in Pink, Red, and Beige.

Since I loved the red in the promo images so much I decided to pick up that shade.

Here’s a look!

Ettusais Essence Gloss actually makes this look a heck of a lot more pigmented in promotional images than it actually is. It’s a flavor and fragrance free lipgloss with a sheerer red tint and a thicker, highly gloss formula.

I think the red color adds a nice tint but also just emphasizes my already pink lips and gives them the illusion of a fuller look. The high shine finish is almost quite as nice as my very favorite gloss but long gone gloss from Too Faced, Mirror Mirror. It is slightly tacky and not completely weightless but I don’t mind in the least as it wears comfortably for me and leaves my lips highly glossy. On its own the red shade lends a slight tint to my lips but is no where near as opaque and full red in color as they show on the promotional model.

It is a pretty basic gloss so I’m unsure if you need to track it down for yourself. Although I will say I do like having this around for touch ups, to wear on its own, or even over my favorite lipsticks as I really LOVE high shine glosses and they seem to be rather sparse or I’m just picky!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. THis reminds me of the Lavshuka one but without the sunscreen? THey are both pretty.
