Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion Review & Swatches

Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion10

Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion is yet another edition of Etude House Baby Choux which released with the Sweet Recipe Collection.

If you recall originally Baby Choux came housed in a glass jar and was available in three shades. Soon after that we got Baby Choux in a Tube and most recently Etude House spins out a new version that’s inspired by their popular Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion.

Let’s take a look!

Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion

Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion is a makeup primer or base color that covers imperfections prior to foundation or BB Cream. These are available in Magic Pink, Magic Peach, and Magic Mint. Pink addresses duller skin as does Peach both are used to brighten, whiten, and even out skin tone where as Mint addresses redness.

These come in a chunky compact that features a dual lid. The first lid snaps open to reveal a generously sized mirror and a sponge for application. A lid below that houses the cushion. The cushion has the squishy feel of a sponge saturated with water. You can press on it and it’ll reform to its original shape. If you’ve used Amore Pacific Color Control Cushion Compact you’ll likely be familiar with how this feels.

I expressed some skepticism about Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion upon first seeing it in a prior post because I felt that this method of application could potentially be over doing it. I felt like I had a little more control with the jar or tube packaging as too much of this can create a chalky or pasty appearance.

Actually there isn’t any issue here as Etude House seemed to have changed the formula slightly and this new version is a bit sheerer which allows for customized application. I don’t love the sponge but it is the easiest way to pat this on and blend it out. You can slowly apply it and build up as you go. I prefer a sheer layer as too much does give a chalky look to skin. Used correctly this will brighten duller skin, even out skin tone, and create a more perfect appearance! The formula as a wet, creamy feel but dries down to a satin almost semi-matte finish. It doesn’t cling to my drier areas and if you have larger pores it will likely blur their appearance.

Okay, the texture in the compact looked scary as hell, but the swatch looks benign and friendly! Wishlisting it!

Is it the same as the Etude House Baby Choux? I don’t know which to buy, both seems to do the same thing and both are so cute.

They are similar, but very different. They both serve as makeup bases, but the Baby Choux Base has more coverage. They both have the same properties, but the difference is the Magic Cushion is a lot lot lighter and more thin, Almost like a liquid in a Cushion. i would give it a try. I like to apply it in the center of my face for a highlighted bright face. ^^

SO I got a sample Of this Etude house pearl bright Any cushion In magic peach! At first I was not a fan because I’m a brown (Caramel ) coloured person and it looked too white and pale for me but the formula of the product it quite sheer and suited my complextion. It made my skin soft, smooth and dew It doesn’t feel heavy 1 didn’t like the scent much but once you put it on yourface you can’t smell it .
I’m looking forWard to buying a full sized version!
    Love Etude house

    I adore your blog. 🙂
This is the 1st time ever I’m seeing these type of product drizzled in a cushion as oppose to packed in jar or tube. It’s mind blowing! Why is it in cushions? I’m wondering is that just for novelty purposes or has some other reasons. I’m so intrigued by the Korean cosmetics, look what they are came up with – a cushion!

Keep up with a good job with your blog <3
