Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow

Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow ($23) is a little something different for the brand.

Single pot cream shadows? Ok, a lot different.

Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadows

Available in nine shades Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow for Spring 2014 is a newly launched creamy and waterproof cream eye shadow.

Givenchy promises a smooth, creamy formula that hugs the curves of your lids and dries down to a powdery 16 hour long wear. They can also act as a base of sorts for loose and powder eyeshadows.

Shades:

  • Beige Mousseline (beige)
  • Rose Dentelle (old pink)
  • Bleu Soie (marine blue)
  • Taupe Velours (taupe)
  • Kaki Brocart (khaki green)
  • Gris Organza (grey)
  • Prune Taffetas (plum)
  • Brun Cachemire (brown)
  • Blanc Satin (top coat)

I was surprised at the $23 price tag as Givenchy is higher end and the price is closer to mid-range! I might check out one or two shades in particular Beige Mousseline because it reminds me of my HG (holy grail) Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eyeshadow Stick in Sand Dunes.

These are available now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

Hi Muse! I just purchased these last week in Rose Dentelle, Taupe Velours and the Blanc Satin top coat. I’m still playing with them, but what I’ve found so far is that you do need a good primer to prevent creasing. I wore them all day with no creasing when I used my Nars pro prime, but when I used my Painterly paint pot, creasing happened after a only a couple hours. Rose Dentelle and Taupe Velours are both matte, so the top coat gives them a nice sparkle (not chunky glitter, just sparkle) if that is the look you are going after. I’m a long time reader – thanks for all of your reviews and advice!

hi rose thanks for the heads up! I only ordered one thankfully…kinda disappointed about the creasing especially since they promise a long wear 🙁 aw my pleasure thank you for adding your thoughts, very helpful!

I left out that I do have oily lids (not super oily, but oily enough), so I always use a primer. I don’t regret the purchase – the colors look really nice, and with the primer, they did last all day!

AH! I have a chance 😀 I have dry eyes so they might just last for me chica!

The taupe velours is AMAZING as another color option for the Dipbrow by Anastasia!!! I’m bleach blonde, and the Dipbrows are too red/orange..I found that the taupe works GREAT. You can sheer it out for a “fuzzy” brow or paint it on for a “diva” brow. I love it AND it even last longer than the DB!

    Hi!

This is a great cream eye shadow! I got this in the Prune Taffetas – plum and it is a gorgeous color! Didn’t know they had this for a great price until I saw your review on it.
