Jill Stuart Lip Blossom Review & Swatches
Jill Stuart Lip Blossom is a new lipstick launched for Spring 2014 that gives lips luminous shine and color with a moisturizing formula rich in lavender and avocado oil.
The packaging is inspired by the fairy tale Thumbelina with a floral motif and Jill Stuart’s very elegant touch.
Take a look!
Jill Stuart Lip Blossom comes housed in a silver mirrored barrel featuring a gorgeous daisy on the top which flips open to reveal a tiny mirror for application.
Jill Stuart Lip Blossom is the standard “melty” lipstick formula that Japanese brands are so fond of. These have a very slick, slippery feel on lips as you apply. They glide across your mouth like melted butter with a highly shiny finish and a sheer hint of color. Although they do not contain shimmer or sparkle they still provide a luminous almost glistening look on lips that’s very flattering. I find the texture resembles many other lipsticks I own from brands like KATE, Lavshuca, and other Kanebo brands. The main difference would be these have a good deal more slickness. I find them so moist that gloss is completely unnecessary as they provide plenty of shine and glossiness all their own. They wear for about three hours, if you’re lucky four but I do think the slipper texture makes them a shorter wearing lipstick for me personally at around three hours. They have a lovely floral taste and flavor that isn’t unpleasant in the least however, it might prove irritating for sensitive users.
The formula is something to rave about but of course, the lovely packaging is what really makes me gaga. They are actually surprisingly lightweight tubes. At a glance with all that silver gorgeousness you’d think they’d have a heavier feel but actually the barrel is very lightweight. The cute little flip up mirror is a darling extra when traveling as touch ups are quite stylish when you’re whipping this out of your purse.
I purchased two shades but the standard collection features 10 colors one of which is limited edition.
These are sadly not sold within the US yet. I went to the Jill Stuart Flagship store earlier in the month but they are not available there as of yet and I’m unsure if they’ll be getting them. The Flagship store in Manhattan is the only place in the US you can purchase Jill Stuart cosmetics.

However, a variety of online shops sell Jill Stuart Makeup such as gooddealer.com and adambeauty.com as well as AlphabeautyUK on E-bay.
I do love these and would recommend a pick up. If you’re already a Jill Stuart collector they’ll be an excellent addition to your stash and if you’re just starting out in the magical work of Jill Stuart makeup you’ll adore these for not only their beautiful packaging but also their superior formula.
A perfect Spring lipstick in both design and formula.
