Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Blush Review & Swatches

Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Blush 4

Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Blush ($26 at QVC) is a new custom flush blush available in three shades to suit light, medium, and deep skin tones.

This contains a chameleon pigment technology used in other products like Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Powder Foundation and Josie Maran Matchmaker Argan Serum Foundation. This pigments ensure that you get a unique flush that’s perfect for your skin tone.

Take a look!

I’m going to say that Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Blush is a lovely blush formula but doesn’t quite exactly work the way it is supposed to. The argan oil infused formula is available in a Fair/Light, Light/Medium, and Medium/Dark color selection. Each color was developed with special pigments that give your skin tone a perfect naturally rosy flush. Rosy? No. Earthy yes. I purchased the Light/Medium as I was worried the Fair/Light would be too sheer for me.

The blush comes housed in a rose gold compact and comes with a soft powder brush for application. At the moment the duo is available exclusively at QVC but I imagine when the product gets a worldwide launch they will discontinue packaging the brush with it. The brush is quite nice with soft, shed-free bristles however, I find the handle a little scratchy and weird. It feels like it might give me a splinter or something! I also dislike how floppy the bristles are as I require a denser brush for blush application myself.

This is a slightly misleading product as they promote it as a natural rosy flush but it goes on as more of an orange-y peach shade. It’ll reflect more orange or more peach based on your undertones but there is no rose or pink here. On the upside the color is rather pretty…it’s quite pigmented with a soft, silky easy to blend formula and a thinner satin formula. It wears for a solid ten hours on my cheeks without an hiccup.

Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Blush is a nice blush with excellent pigment and a lovely formula. However, there isn’t a lot here that sets it back from any other shade of peachy orange-y blush I own. It’s a little misleading with the color adapting formula and also the promise of a natural flush. This is definitely a blush that makes itself known on cheeks.

Beautiful yes!

Your perfect shade of blush? Not necessarily. I mean I think I look nice in peach but if you’re purchasing this in the hopes it’ll be your perfect custom shade or change to your custom shade, well, that isn’t quite accurate.

It’s available now at QVC.com.

I am still very curious about this product. I wonder how the other colors work?

This color does look lovely on you though!

It looks gorgeous on you! But my boyfriend just leaned over and said that it looks like a piece of salami and now I can’t unsee it. So sadly no salami blush for me.

Ya know Muse, I didn’t care at all for the color swatched on your wrist – it looks downright orange. But on your cheeks it looks really pretty, maybe even slightly rosy. A dusty rose, perhaps?

thanks jc! bit more peach for me not quite dusky rose…! it really does look intensely orange but it applies very nicely 🙂

Okay, maybe I’ve just had a few too many bad experiences, but I’ve always found “skin tone adjusting ” products to be lackluster and a bit gimmicky. Please tell me I’m not alone in this!!
