Korres Greek Yoghurt Nourishing Primer

Korres Greek Yoghurt Nourishing Primer ($30) is a silicone-free (and paraben-free) facial primer ideal for all skin types that harsness the power and protein of Greek yogurt to prep skin and create a smooth canvas for makeup!

I felt rather lost in a sea of silicone primers before Korres released its first silicone-free primer several years ago. Smashbox’s popular Photo Finish did nothing for this dry skin girl!

Needless to say I think Korres is responsible for actually address the issue of a makeup world that needed a moisturizing face primer free of silicones and they successfully had a customer for life when they went silicone-free with theirs.

Flash forward several years and we now have this new Greek Yoghurt formula.

Take a peek!

Korres Greek Yoghurt Nourishing Primer is a cream gel face primer that absorbs easily into skin and preps it for makeup. This has a light friendly fragrance that quite reminds me of hand cream. I personally love the scent but if you’re sensitive to fragrance in skincare do have a little sniff test at Sephora prior to a purchase.

I find the primer is a hint more hydrating than the original Korres Face Primer but not by much. It’s recommend for all skin types particularly sensitive ones

I have drier skin so even after applying moisturizer I can definitely use more hydration to prep my skin and ease the way for my foundation or BB Cream application. This leaves my skin with a dewy finish that gives my base a smoother flake-free finish and my foundation. The softer, smoother finish ensures my foundation isn’t hugging my drier, flakier areas. Since it provides fairly good moisture you’ll find your foundation is less likely to fade. For me it adds about an extra on to my makeup wear before I see fading.

Greek Yoghurt is good for you however, unsure of the benefits it does for your skin but none the less this little primer is perfect for those of us that prefer to skip the silicones in our primers.

Likey!

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

Hey Debbi I actually mentioned in the review that it kinda smells like really nice hand cream to my nose 🙂 i liked it!

I think I got a stinky tube! I can’t imagine you thinking this was a good smell…I may ask them to send me another. Mine is really bad but otherwise a fab primer.

This seems promising but that price tag is ridic for me. How big is it btw because I actually thought it was a hand cream because I half read the title. :/

I felt rather loss in a see of silicone primers

I felt rather “lost” in a “sea” of silicone primers

Aha, sorry, my inner grammar nazi comes out occasionally o: I love the review though, as I’ve been looking for a nice silicone free primer for a while :).

How do you think this would work for controlling oil? I personally hate silicon based primers, and I have ridiculously oily skin, so maybe this would be worth a try?

    • Isabella Muse

it actually leaves a dewy finish and isn’t a mattifying primer so it isn’t going to control oil unfortunately.
