Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner Review & Swatches

Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner RD303

I’m doing my best Lady Vengeance intimation this week with this new, limited edition Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner shade in RD303. This metallic cranberry shade was released with the Majolica Majorca Spring 2014 Collection in Japan earlier this year.

Take a peek!

I typically avoid Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner because it’s so wet! Yak! They have some really great shades but it is a thicker formula with a precise tip but you have to click to allow the liner to follow into the brush which means it comes out in a thick goopey, gooey, wet mess. I swipe excess off on a tissue but it always seems so wasteful!

This is a slimmer liquid eyeliner with point, dense brush application and a click twist pen mechanism that allows liner to follow into the brush. The formula is quite thick for liquid liner and takes several seconds up to a minute or two to dry down and set. During that time I find I can’t blink or move or attempt anything else as it will smudge and migrate around my eye if I am not careful. Wear time is fairly good on my drier eyes at around 8 hours without fading or flaking away.

RD303 is a limited edition shade which is a very lovely metallic cranberry. It was a hard one to resist! You can smudge it out along your lash line to create a really pretty look but be careful if you do as it does smear around in a messy manner. Or you can embrace the new double lining trend by applying black eyeliner and this red on top of the black (not over it but above it).

I loved the shade so much I was tempted to purchase a back up!

Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner is far from perfect formula wise..it’s just a little to messy of a liquid liner in my experience but the color is brilliant and worth a pick up if you like shades like this.

I grabbed mine from a friend who lives in Japan but I believe Adambeauty.com is stocking it as well!

What sorts of reds or cranberry shades do you like wearing?

I purchased this item.

Isabella, this is soooooo pretty! This color compliments your eye color extremely well. I too have dark brown eyes and I am a sucker for these dark red shades. Anything burgundy, cranberry, anything berry really ! They always make my brown eyes pop just like yours ! 🙂

I love the double lining trend ! When we don’t have time for an elaborate multicolored eyeshadow application, it’s a very fun and quick and easy way to add a pop of color !

aw thanks chica! It’s a fun shade! The double lining is def fun! I like using solid black and piling on two brighter shades! hopefully we’ll see a Summer trend for it 😀

From the Elf studio line I love their baked eyeshadows, especially the one called Burnt Plum. This color is the love of my life (just kidding !)
I apply Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk as a base and Burnt Plum on top.
I also love L’Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Glistening Garnet, although it’s more pink…
From elf still, their long lasting lustrous eyeshadow in “Soiree”. Although it’s less red and more mauve it looks absolutely fantastic on dark brown eyed girls !

You look sort of pin-up-esque in this fotd. Very cute. I am always afraid red eye products will make my eyes look red or yucky but this seems a little more subtle.. might have to splurge for it. In sin-city anything goes LOL and I could see this being fun with a neutral or soft smokey shadow combo.

aw thanks! blush! I think it would look fab with a smoky eye!

  • Angel

Just gorgeous Muse! I love red eye makeup of any kind. I think I need this! Looks great on you, def get a backup 🙂

I love it! And I love Lady Vengeance, what a freaking great movie. I don’t really understand why so many people are scared of red/orange colors on their eyes. They’re some of my favorite shades to play with, and I think they can be so well done. Maybe because it can be easy to overdo? Oh well, more red and orange for me!

That is such a beautiful colour for liner and it looks great on you! xo

When I saw the swatch I was like wahhhh lip gloss pen? This is a RED EYELINER OMG WANTTTTT!

  • Yen

I knew I had to see swatches of this color when you mentioned Lady Vengeance! I love that movie and all the other ones in the vengeance trilogy.

This is such a pretty shade on you! I love double lining. I’ve been doing it for a while since I think I look odd with bright liner on my lower lash line. I’d totally wear this color if it was an eyeshadow!

    • Isabella Muse

yay me too Yen! Aw thanks! I actually went ahead and blended it onto my lid, you can totally multitask 😀 it works as a liquid-y shadow of sorts, bit of a pain to remove though so you def need some oil based remover around 😀

  • Miss D

WOW! You look STUNNING in that photo- your makeup looks great! And I adore the Lady Vengeance movie…Lee Yeong-Ae is one of the prettiest Korean actresses ever! 🙂

    • Isabella Muse
