Maybelline Mad for Magenta Baby Lips Review & Swatches
Maybelline Mad for Magenta Baby Lips is one of several new limited edition Spring 2014 Baby Lips Lip Balms that launched with the Maybelline Pink’ed Collection.
So far the shades I’ve reviewed from this collection have been pretty pigmented but Mad for Magenta might be the exception!
Maybelline Mad for Magenta Baby Lips left a slight stain on my arm during swatching so I had hopes it would prove the same on lips. This is a neon pink shade that looks quite lovely in the tube but it applies very sheer on lips. If you have paler lips it might show some color however, those with pigmented lips might experience some moisture but not color.
I’m not a massive fan of Baby Lips since they supposedly help lips to retain moisture for several hours. I personally feel like I’m applying and reapplying them often so my lips feel hydrated. They do leave a nice sheen on lips with a hint of color and in some cases fairly nice color but unfortunately this shade was a little lacking! They also sport a nice fruity flavor and taste that isn’t over the top.
If you are heading into a purchase of from the new Pink’ed Collection I’d recommend going with another shade as Mad for Magenta is a little disappointing!
