Top Shop Lip Cream Review & Swatches
Need a little drama in your life child? Well please do grab yourself some Top Shop Lip Cream ($14)! Available in five outrageous shades Top Shop Lip Cream is an absolutely brilliant little purchase.
I swear Top Shop has really done what no fashion retailer has successfully done as of yet. They created a line of incredible cosmetics…granted, I’ve tried other fashion retailer cosmetics from places like F21, H&M, etc…but none show the quality of Top Shop’s Cosmetic Collection.
So if you haven’t, do try some of the line soon especially these Top Shop Lip Creams!
Top Shop Lip Cream’s $14 price tag might throw you off slightly. “Hey, they create fashion not makeup! That’s kinda high for makeup by what’s essential a fashion retailer isn’t it?”
Believe me they pack quality with these Lip Creams so the $14 bucks is worth it!
This is a thinner, slippery textured hybrid formula that’s one part lipgloss and one part liquid lipstick. The texture is virtually weightless on lips and has a faint vanilla taste and flavor. The single shade I tried provided opaque color on a single application and builds to crazy bold, pigmented glory (in my photos below I’m wearing two layers).
The texture is that of a lightweight cream without any tackiness or stickiness. Color glides across lips easily with a slightly slippery feel that’s slick not not necessarily hydrating but is slightly moist (no worries, it isn’t dry either). I own plenty of lip creams but this isn’t like any I’ve tried as it lacks the matte, velvety texture of a true lip cream. I’d call the formula hybrid of sorts as it has the consistency of a light gloss, color of a liquid lipstick, and even has a bit of a staining effect as it wears away so it also acts like a stain. The wear time is around four hours for me without eating or drinking and even though the color is bold it doesn’t migrate of feather on my drier lips.
Needless to say the shade I tried, Lotus Flower, is a stunning purple. Since some folks were disappointed with the pinker shade of Sephora Pantone Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick you might feel like this shade gives you more of the dramatic purple you were hoping for. It’s quite vampy but totally wearable.
I do urge you to check out Top Shop Lip Cream. This one makes it onto my Muse Approval list.
Loves it and will be purchasing more shades!
